Getting Six Pack Abs is Simple!

It is true. Getting six pack abs is simple but not necessarily easy. It is a rather long road and requires hard work, guts, and sacrifice. If you are willing to put these things in, you have already taken the most important step in getting six pack abs-the first step! You need to take action again and again and build up momentum. Do not let any distractions slow you down and you will get there in no time. Be on a warpath, not some journey of self discovery. You will learn more about yourself by continually going to your limits than you ever could with quiet introspection.

The first thing you need to take care of is your diet. You have to eat clean and there is no way around it. Eat lots of meat and veggies and you should be alright. To be more specific, the best meats you can eat are generally fish and poultry; red meats are too high in iron and usually genetically modified and pumped full of growth hormone. This growth hormone is not good to you and will only damage your body. Green veggies are generally the best veggies. You need good vegetables to get all the vital nutrients that meat doesn't cover. Do not be afraid of fat; be afraid of trans fat and wary of saturated fat. You need fat as a good energy source and a way to keep your hormones in balance.

For training, intensity is key. If you can feel your abs being pumped full of blood and aching, begging you to stop, you either have serious medical problems or you are having a great workout! Keep your sets and your workouts as a whole short and sweet. Your body does not respond to grueling tasks by growing; it responds only to high intensity, high strength work.

You need to do at least a little bit of cardio. Just like with muscle training, keep it intense and brief. I would suggest looking into HIIT. HIIT has the added advantage of actually training your abs as a part of the movement. When sprinting, you rely heavily on your abs as a stabilizer. A well conditioned cardiovascular system means an efficient metabolism.

Take care of these simple things and six pack abs will be merely a matter of time. It is important to know how to stay motivated for those tough times that you ask yourself if it is worth it. Have an answer to the question and your mind will no longer be able to stop you!

Happy training!
