There are many fad diets floating around this society. Fad diets become popular because these companies shell out millions of dollars for heavy promotion of diets and pills and they have a few celebrities to endorse the fads. Then you got the massive success stories that follow. Quiet naturally when you have the key ingredients to this recipe, their popularity goes straight through the roof. Companies make big dollars off of people who are looking to lose fat. Once you end these fad diets and start back eating as normal, you gain the weight back plus more. This is definitely not the answer to stopping obesity.
Losing weight is not instant. It will take some time. The weight didn’t come overnight so you certainly won’t lose body fat overnight. We live in a microwave society where we want everything in an instant. Life does not work this way. You got to have patience when trying to losing weight.
In order to stop obesity, we must first find out why there’s obesity in the first place. In most cases obesity happen as a result of overeating and not exercising. There’s not a fad diet in the world that’s going to solve this epidemic. It starts with a healthy life style. We have to eat in moderation, make healthy choices, compile and exercise plan and build muscle to stop obesity. If we do these things on a regular schedule, we lose body fat and keep it off for good.
A Simple Way to Losing Body Fat
Instead of going on a diet you can follow these simple steps to help you lose body fat:
• Fill half of your plate with veggies.
• Fill one-fourth of your plate with grains such as brown rice or multi-grain pasta
• Fill one-fourth with 4 ounces of protein such as meat or nuts
• Before your meals drink water
• In between your meals eat a high fiber snack
• Before you eat dinner, have a fiber supplement such as Metamucil in a cup of water
• Drink 8-10 cups of water a day
• Have 5-10 servings of fruit and veggies a day
• Gain muscle by doing high intensity exercises such as weight training with little rest in between
• Do cardio a few times a week at different pace (ex: if you jog, do it 3 minutes at a steady pace then increase to running for a minute then go back to jogging for 2 minutes through out your workout to burn the most amount of calories. If you just jog all the way through your body starts to conserve calories and you will not burn as much)
Losing weight is not the easiest task to do. I challenge you to avoid all the fad diets and avoid diet pills and all of the other harmful things people do to lose weight. You should lose fat naturally. Now go and get started. You can do it.
