The Juice Master diet is a 7 day juice diet/feast which was created by Jason Vale, aka the Juice Master, that gives you all the nutrients you need while allowing you to cleanse your system. This diet has become known as the Juice Master Diet.
I first come across The Juice Master Diet about 5 years ago when I moved home. The previous occupants moved out and left one of his books behind. I had never heard of juicing before and decided to read it and was surprised at how everything he said made sense to me and before I knew it I had read the book from front to back and I went out and bought myself a juicer not long afterwards.
I have since met Jason Vale on several occasions and he is so down to earth and really walks the talk. On one occasion I took his Ultimate Fast Food book with me for him to sign and he said that it had once been given out free with a juicer, he wasn't disappointed that it had been abandoned but pleased that it had managed to convert someone else to the benefits of juicing.
In the UK we have a road called the M25. It is 117 miles long and encircles London. The idea is that you can get to all parts of the country without having to go through London. It's basically the London ringroad and both Heathrow and Gatwick airports are just off of it. At rush hours it is very busy, after 5pm on a Friday it becomes jam packed and on a bank holiday weekend it is known as the world's largest car park because all 6 lanes are jam packed with people trying to navigate around London to either go home or get to one of the airports for a getaway. Jason Vale compares the digestion system of someone who has been eating processed unhealthy food for years with the M25 on a bank holiday weekend and because of the congestion just changing to a more healthy diet isn't always enough, sometimes the only way to get the much needed nutrients through to your bloodstream is to do your body's work for it by separating the vitamins and minerals from the fibre. Freshly juiced fruit and veg is like the motorbike that weaves it's way in and out of the stationary traffic getting to it's destination much quicker and easier.
Juicing is a great way to get your body back into good condition and if you're new to juicing then the Juice Master Diet can help with your change to a healthier lifestyle - all you need is a juicer and some fresh fruit and vegetables!
great article and a bookmark to get my juicer when i get my farm....
I may have to try this sometime....it is something i am interested in....we have just decided I may have celiac disease so we are trying to get tests done to find out but i would like to get the rest of the toxins out of my system....I am better with food than supplements on this matter so....thanks for all the good info and links....k
Yes Kaite, I got into juices because i have crohns disease. Juicing is the single most important thing I did for my health and would recommend it to anyone.
Thanks Sue, I'm a pretty healthy eater but I didn't know juicing helps separate vitamins and minerals from fibre to get it to the bloodstream faster.
Yes, personally I like both smoothies (blended) and juices but there are many health people who push smoothies and quite often dismiss juices because they believe that having the fibre is much more beneficial and yes to an extent it is but when you have a very inefficient digestion system like I had, due to my crohns, then sometimes your digestive system just can't handle the fibre - but your system badly needs the nutrients to heal itself.
Thanks Shawn, Jason Vale leads a very active life and I remember him running a marathon wearing a t-shirt saying "running on juice". He later produced a leaflet to help people drink the right juices when training for a half or full marathon
Yes and it's a great way to get into the habit of juicing!
We have more than a few roads like that here in the U.S. And, yes, my digestive system feels like that once in a while, too.
Sue, Interesting way to describe juicing! Getting nutrients to your body through the traffic. Thanks for a great article! blessings, Cynthia
Sue, I wonder how it works. I mean, mostly it would be the small intestines getting nutrients the usual way. This way it slips on by to the large intestines. I guess more gets through the small intestines while they're working on the bulk of regular food. blessings, Cynthia
