So you have cancer and you want to know what to do. Why do some people do well and survive cancer, while others do not do so well? Here are some “basics” about exercise, diet, and attitude, which the entire cancer healing community agrees upon, as the “must know” facts about cancer.
Exercise Fact- cancer dies in an oxygen rich environment where there is good blood flow, so
1) Exercise is key for cancer patients. It allows for increased blood flow and improved oxygenation of the cells, 2 things that cancer hates. The more oxygen and the better the blood flow, the less cancer. Moreso, exercise, via muscle contraction, also pumps the lymph system. The lymph system has no pump (like the heart pumps blood throughout the body). The job of the lymph system is to get toxins out of the body. Regular light exercise will help to pump toxins out of your system. Walking, isometric contractions that can be done in the bed or chair (if you cannot walk), always combined with deep breathing is helpful. Try to do your exercises at least 10 minutes and 2 (or more) times per day.
Diet Fact- cancer prefers acidic foods, toxic foods, enzyme depletion (which is cooked foods), and sugar. So
2) Eat fresh, raw fruit and vegetables, Fruits are not only tasty but they automatically add a natural vitality to your diet. As a result you will have increased energy.
Attitude Fact- Cancer thrives and kills best in a depressed physical, mental, and emotional environment. So
3) Be positive, courageous, happy, and have a sense of wonder and joy at the blessings you do have in your life. (For those of you who find this silly…good, be a little silly, it helps,)
These are 3 of the most important agreed upon factors to surviving cancer. Additionally, early detection puts you in the driver’s seat in your return to health. A few other favorites of mine include Drink as much water as possible every day - Sip it frequently as opposed to gulping down the occasional glass. Sunshine generates Vitamin D which kills cancer cells. Proper diet and sunshine for up to 20 minutes a day combine to kill cancer cells. (Sunshine is often discouraged if you are receiving radiation treatments, so ask your Doctor.) The key to your cancer cure is cell detoxification, and all of these suggestions should help you to clean the cancer out of your system.
Make sure your Doctor is OK with everything you are doing.
You should "feel better" for having followed any of these suggestions.
As for me, I am a completely healthy lymph cancer survivor, who is also a Physical Therapist. From my successful patients, I have learned “Fall seven times, stand up eight”.
May you have good health, good luck, and good habits!
