Tests, Vaccinations, Antibiotics And the Alternative

I recently saw the film A Shot in the Dark. No, not the hilarious peter Sellers film, but the Canadian documentary about vaccine dangers to health. Yeah, that's the one. Well, vaccines aren't the only thing troublesome, as antibiotics and even other medications and test procedures also have their own stories.

Unfortunately most people can't see past their present reality, which most of the time is finance related. For most people it's easier to just pop a pill especially if it's covered in their health plan or at least part of their cost is.

I can name almost off by heart the list of medications that my patients have been prescribed and have used for lower back pain for example. It reads like a very organized text book.

How about Russia? I've liked what I've heard from many Russian patients and friends. There, Homeopathy and Folk Medicine are pretty much part of nearly every doctors approach, and the remedies are given over the counter, every day, in all pharmacies. It's even part of their medical education. Many of the natural high tech testing devices including certain EDS electro dermal scanning machines are also manufactured there.

Most natural medicines, vitamins, minerals, herbal preparations, and even homeopathy sometimes can be quite costly though. People don't understand about the harm done to their bodies from taking powerful conventional drugs and even antibiotics. And honestly, if they did, would it stop them?

How many people read clearly what it says on a package of cigarettes and still smoke two packs per day. I tried talking to an older patient of mine who came to me for back treatment as well as for hips and legs. He was very weak, couldn't move well, was in pain, major urinary bladder problems and infections. He'd probably been a major smoker for over 50 years.

I tried telling him about the research, scientific research that shows that smoking decreases the amount of oxygen that the inter vertebral discs receive. I don't think I got anywhere. How can the mind understand when the body is addicted to harmful toxins?

Many of the other tests and options to medications such as antibiotics that are available are either not known or for some reason are not popular. Most people have no idea about the different tests and treatments that are available and out there.

The public has to be made more aware of what is available, especially in the US. Does anyone know anything other than a stool sample, urine test, saliva test maybe, and blood test? Oh yes, have I mentioned EKG, EMG, Ultrasound, CT, and MRI?

We are living in a generation of acronyms!!! ROTFL.

Out of the ordinary tests, at least right now either cost very much and are not accessible, or it's not convenient logistically to go and have it done as it's out of the way, or it costs a lot of money again to send it off to some lab somewhere.

Obtaining equipment like some forms of EDS equipment, or high tech blood work equipment for a lab can be very costly for the practitioner, and as a result sessions may also be costly for the patient.

It's also technically a supply and demand thing I believe from a certain general perspective. So if main stream medicine would theoretically become more natural, then the costs of all these unique testing devices and approaches, as well as the cost of natural foods and remedies would go down majorly.

The cheapest hair exam I found on the Internet was for 95 dollars. They did a great job in my opinion and I am following their recommendations. However when it comes to the specific supplements the company wished to sell me if I wanted to buy from them, the costs were quite high.

As long as the FDA, drug industry, hospitals, doctors, and HMOs are controlling the money, the industry, and the public, what can we do? Advertising costs money too, as well as public relations, and they've got all that. Otherwise the public's opinion would look much more different right now. A major shift needs to occur in public thinking in order for us to return to our roots of vibrant health potential.

There are Homeopathic vaccines that I have heard about. I specifically heard about one for the yearly flu that an older patient of mine of blessed memory was getting annually from a local Doctor / Homeopath / Naturopath / Iridologist whom I have visited in the past for treatments.

She said she was quite happy with the results. I do not know and would like to research if such options are available for all the childhood vaccines, as this sounds like a viable, healthier option if necessary.

After seeing “A Shot in the Dark” and after reading some of the information in the book, I am quite shocked and a bit scared about the whole vaccine issue and up until recently was actually very much against vaccination altogether.

I am a bit thrown. I do not have children of my own yet, hopefully G-d willing soon, so I have concerns, specifically from hearing about certain childhood ailments and diseases that vaccinations apparently helped to get rid of in the past, that have reared their heads again recently.

Will a natural and healthy lifestyle and hopefully my wife's be enough to help our children and their immune systems without having to vaccinate? Breast feeding is most important, but what if that's not possible for whatever reason.

At such a young age, what else can we do to help our children and their immune building, to help protect them without harming them. Certain herbs and supplements are supposedly not to be given at very young ages, though Homeopathy is supposed to be much safer and can even be given to infants.

A few years back I dealt with a major upper respiratory infection. After weeks of using nutritional, herbal, supplemental means, I was not able to get rid of it. After looking back on it, I do realize that I neglected or forgot about certain techniques, approaches, or natural remedies that may have helped me more. Also there were a number of things that I don't think I was doing absolutely consistently till the end.

In either case, I succumbed to antibiotics, but after 4 days there was barely any change. Four days is usually the time it takes to start to work though. Some financial constraints were holding me back from seeking out natural practitioners to help me, and I believed that based on my knowledge and experience, that I could save money and handle it on my own.

I realized at the time that my finances were better off than I thought, so I went to acupuncture which I had not done in quite a long time, 3 times within the next 5 days, and I also began taking some TCM herbs that the practitioner ordered for me.

I got much better and healed quite quickly after that, especially with follow up sessions of Acupuncture. It's too bad that I took the antibiotics, as this may prevent us from knowing for sure, but I believe that the natural approach was what really made the difference.

It was the first time in many years that I took antibiotics but now I know even better to think many times and to explore other powerful options. There are however instances as well, especially in extreme cases and very bad illnesses where antibiotics are a must and part of the regime EVEN if natural means are also being used. So they obviously have their place as well when necessary.

I believe that as far as tests, vaccinations, and antibiotics go, more studies and research MUST be done to see the results before during and after treatments of certain ailments. If the equipment, remedies, and techniques are available, then let's do the statistics! Crunch the numbers, get the test groups and subjects.

More is being done already. Much more. But, we need major studies with comparative studies as well, to the conventional side. It's unfortunate that sometimes studies and research also cost money though, and we know where all that research money and grants has been going up to this point. The drug industry for one.

As much as we can, let's start doing it. Let's see if an EDS exam, pulse diagnosis, iridology exam meshes with conventional diagnosis of blood, urine, stool and CT scans for example. It's very nice to say that there are certain tests and technologies that can pick up illnesses, difficulties, and ailments before conventional means, or even things that conventional means can't pick up supposedly.

So let's put it to the real test and do more and more empirical research. Let's do with natural medicine what the conventional community specifically claims is not done in CAM.

I would love to palpate a patient's kidney and to find an Osteopathic lesion, and to see that pulse diagnosis picks up on kidney imbalance if any, while iridology also shows the kidney area to be problematic. If urine samples and serum samples as well have what to show significantly, then we can really rock.

That, and I think that certain conventional diagnosis tests need to be fine tuned even more in order to pick up on nuances that supposedly only CAM methods have the ability to see.
