17th MARCH, St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner. Have you planned on recipes and menus you will serve your family and office colleagues on this Irish special green day celebration?

True that people prefer to take alcoholic beverages like green beer that day. But, you should keep into consideration that the guests who would arrive may also be little ones or even elder people for whom green beer may be harmful for health.

Here's why cardiologists say “beer may not be good for your health” -

• Hydration problem - A chilled beer is always a resort to ease in hot temperatures. However, if you are a sportsperson or have to work outside continuously in scorching weather, you should use it with a caution. Alcohol raises the antidiuretic hormone release, which leads to recurrent washroom visits. It even makes you sweat heavily as skin starts dehydrating.

• Increase gluten – Beer primarily comprises of barley, a protein element that boosts your gluttony. It has been found that many people easily get hung up to the sensitive glutton factor. This sensation ends up with "celiac disease" that stirs your immune system streamlining your small intestine.

• Low blood sugar - Beer encourages weight gain. Sugar accumulates as glycogen in your liver. When your blood sugar level falls between the long meal gaps , liver starts transforming glycogen to glucose, letting off into blood thereby raising your feeling of hunger even though you are not hungry.

Get into the celebration mood of St. Patrick's Day 2016 in a healthy way. You don't even need food coloring to get into the festive spirit. Here are some green smoothies to dip you in the "green mood" to match the "St. Patrick's Day mode." The fruity ingredients give the texture and flavor that everybody loves. Try and taste the magic of heart favorite natural elements and avoid beverages that may harm you in the long run:
