What comes to your mind when someone talks about healthy eating? Do your eyes begin to glaze over, sudden terror, images pale-ish looking figures hovering over a tasteless meal of yeast-free bread and bean sprouts? Do you wonder what healthy foods even look like?
Did you know that a healthy diet plan must include a program that is beneficial for building up and supporting a good digestive tract as well as focus on losing weight? Evidently the pharmaceutical and ad companies do! Millions are spent each year on putting new products on the shelf that take care of heartburn and indigestion and then promoting those and other products.
Here is a revolutionary approach that neither of those companies truly want to here. How about if we eliminate the need for either one of them and we just learn how to eat and be healthy in the process. That way relief will not be needed to begin with. It truly is not that difficult. However, you do have to decide which one works best for you. Personally, I like the idea of feeling better after I eat. I also like the idea of not having to go to the doctor or even spend extra money on medicines that could have been spent on healthy groceries.
The first thought many people may have is that a person has to be eat only vegetables and become “vegetarian” which will automatically bring up a defense against taking the time to eat right. But becoming all vegetarian is not the right answer because, besides lacking in certain kinds of foods, the vegetarian diet poses another problem- the types of food in the diet. Many vegetarians eat a lot of processed carbohydrates and soy products to compensate for not eating meat. The possible problem with nonfermented soy and many grains that are in the vegetarian diet is that these foods are high in phytic acid. This substance inhibits the body from assimilating important calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc. This, in turn, could lead to mineral deficiencies.
An immune system that is healthy is another advantage to eating better, healthier foods. The key to your immune system can be found in your digestive tract. Many people do not really understand that the digestive tract is not just elimination, but is also for assimilation of the nutrients passing through.
Instead of downing one of those nutrient robbing energy drinks that is actually dangerous why not eat healthy and really feel better! The energy drinks are loaded with sugar and that alone is a major blow to the immune system. Then add the high amounts of caffeine that causes stress on the body and all of the organs and you are setting yourself up for some serious health issues.
There is every benefit to learning to eat right. Not only will you be helping yourself in learning how to be healthy, but when others actually see that you are feeling more energetic and having less down time due to sickness, they will want to know how you did it and you can just tell them that instead of living to eat you decided to start eating to live!
