Psyched to raise Halloween back from the dead with beat swaying jams to get you up roaring for more! Some Rhythm & Beats for Halloween are essential to any shindig, gathering or just to break the awkward silence for people to get ramped up,ready to dance the night away.
Which Halloween Songs work...
I don’t have to tell you not every song works on every audience you bring to the party, expect a few boo’s go your way when rocking the wrong genre of music to the wrong crowd.
Age difference can does make a difference, an all adult scene asks for some oldies or hits from the 80’s or 90’s(Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” is a well-known one) occasionally throw in a fun song for laughs, “Ghostbusters” theme song is a good one, have the crowd raise their arms in the air like they just don’t care, when everyone shouts, GHOST BUSTERS, believe me they will love it.
What about the children...
Handling a Halloween child party is a little more difficult since your hands are tied when it comes to sticking to kid friendly nothing above a G-rated song, you’ll be looking at bewildered parents looking down at you if you don’t.
Keep the kids happy with some music they would have heard of,Tim Burton flicks like the, ”Nightmare Before Christmas” is a notorious child’s Halloween song favorite along with other ghoulish jams they're fond of.
Teenager’s will be Teenager’s...
Teens love what’s hip now, it might just be techno they’re into or rock & roll maybe even heavy metal who really knows it’s similar to the world of fashion, trends living and dying in no time at all only to be reborn again in a short time span.
To handle teens is just give them a little of everything, think of them as the filter group, see their reactions to know what they love to hear then just play a little more of it. Filter through each song selection to see what sticks they might enjoy oldies tracks, heavy metal tracks or maybe even tracks you play for the children can even be the hit of the Halloween Party.
Halloween Songs in Closing....
Getting into the Halloween groove is part of the fun and joy that only this great holiday brings when friends & family gather all over to dance the night away in Halloween style.
No matter what Halloween songs you play on the stereo or turntable, just remember, every time you touch that dial or spin that record your not only doing it for your entertainment, but for your audience as well.
