Halloween has certainly evolved from the days of lighting bonfires and wearing costumes to ward off ghosts. These days costumes are worn for fun. Everyone loves attending Halloween parties dressed in the perfect costume.
Sometimes the hardest part is choosing the right costume. There are so many choices. Finding a unique look can be challenging. After all nobody wants to attend a party and find they have several costume twins.

Bonnie and Clyde - Probably the most well known outlaws of the public enemy era, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow left a trail of robbery and murder acros the Midwest in the early 1930's. The reality of the couple's life has been swallowed by legend. Bonnie will forever be in the public conscience as a gun wielding gangster moll. Clyde her handsome outlaw man.
This costume pairing is easy enough to pull off. For Clyde a striped gangster suit. Bonnie is often portrayed in a beret. So a simple blouse and a full skirt that falls below the knees. Add a couple of tommy gun props and you are America's #1 public enemy couple. Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest gave this costume choice the celebrity treatment for Halloween 2012.
Cowboy and Saloon Girl - Bring back the Wild West with this choice. You can do the Marshal Dillon and Miss Kitty combo. Matt can be a simple as a pair of jeans, cowboy boots and a shirt paired with a vest. Top it off with a cowboy hat. For Miss Kitty a saloon girl dress, feathers for the hair and black stockings. Most costume shops have a version of the saloon girl. The cowboy and the saloon girl is a classic but sexy choice.
Woody and Jessie - Another variation on the cowboy theme, Woody and Jessie, Disney's Toy Story heroes is an adorable couple choice. Woody's signature outfit is jeans, cowboy boots, a yellow and red plaid shirt and a brown cowboy hat. Jessie wears a white western shirt trimmed in yellow with a red rope pattern. She has blue pants with a cowhide chaps. Top her off with a red hat and a red braid. If you don't want to do it yourself most costume shops feature Woody and Jessie costumes. For a classic scary choice, you can't go wrong with the Munsters. Lily wears a long flowing dress trimmed in black, a bat necklace and she sports long flowing black hair with a grey widow's peak. A white painted face paired with black lipstick and eye makeup would complete Lily's look.
Herman is based on Frankenstein's monster. He wears rough brown pants. A plain dark shirt and a jacket that has sleeves which are too short completes his wardrobe. Herman has clunky boots and of course he is green. Add a couple of bolts in the neck and you are perfect! Do it yourself or purchase the costumes online.
