In regards to finding tutoring resources, anyone has the option of course to check out various tutoring sites online, check out colleges and universities that provide tutoring services, or go to friends and family members who provide these services as well. However, if you want to learn how to tutor without paying a pretty penny, you'll be able to find those resources at Amazon also.
Providing tutoring services can be a great way to supplement your income as a part-time gig. You can reap great benefits in doing so. You can work as many or as few hours as you like, you don't have to leave the comfort of your home unless you choose to tutor outside of your home, and most importantly you'll be helping others succeed! Providing these services require a passion, love, and zeal in seeing others become successfully academically and it's not recommended as a "fly by night" kind of thing. Tutoring is not about providing only expertise and experience, but encouragement as well to those who are learning.

Of course we all know this technique helps to save lots of money.
Since my inception in the education field, I have found tutoring and teaching to be very rewarding. I enjoy the little hugs little elementary students give and how they say "I love you" when I've embraced them and gazed into their little eyes. I enjoy seeing the eyes of a middle schooler light up as the "light bulb" in his or her head comes on when he or she grasps a concept. Teaching is my passion and its not only teaching in the school systems that I find rewarding. If I can teach or help someone else in any aspect of life, I find it rewarding. This is my gift, this is my calling! We are all teachers to some degree. Wouldn't you agree?
I know exactly what you mean about the joys of teaching, Dorothy. I've always found teaching rewarding, even though I've never done it in any professional capacity. I, too, get a warm fuzzy watching my grandson's face light up when I'm explaining something and he finally 'gets it'. I get as much joy and satisfaction out of it as he does! Great article, and I clicked both your links. Love the layout, background and text. Whenever I talk about education, I'm reminded of a bumper sticker I saw not long ago: "It'll be a great day when our education system has all the money it needs, and the Defense Department has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber." Keep up the great work! :-)
Hi Geoffrey! Thanks so much for your comment! I appreciate it!
