Garlic Remedies

Garlic has been used for home remedies for years, but do you know just how many uses it really has? In doing some research on the subject I was amazed to find out how many uses there really are for garlic remedies.I have been using garlic on a daily basis myself simply because I love the taste of it, but I had no idea just how much it can really help keep us healthy.

Garlic's uses include:

  • Blood pressure regulation

Garlic helps pull sugar out of the blood and encourages the pancreas to make more insulin

  • Weight loss

Adding garlic and vinegar together can double weight loss

  • Asthma Fighter

use this along with your regular medication. 1 tsp of this tonic with water every 15 minutes until the spasm is controlled. Recipe: take a half pound pealed garlic buds, add even amounts of distilled water and vinegar to cover the buds. half pint of glycerin and one and a half pounds honey. put pealed garlic vinegar and water in a wide mouthed jar, close tightly and shake well. Add the glycerin and shake jar and let stand in cool place for 5 days, shaking twice daily.Add the glycerin, shake and let stand for one more day. Strain and blend in the honey, keep in cool dry place.

  • Toothache

Crushed up garlic and peanut butter works best.

  • Congestion

Use raw garlic for congestion, coughs and the likes.

  • Infections

Eating raw garlic will help with infections, sore throats, and mouth ulcers.

  • Digestive system

for diarrhea, gastroenteritis, dysentery, colitis, food poisoning, constipation, indigestion, and hemorrhoids. Yes, hemorrhoid help is at your fingertips. Use crushed garlic and a bit of vitamin e oil. I will let you readers figure out how to apply it. :)

  • Urinogenital

Garlic can help with candidiasis, cystitis, thrush, and vaginitis.

Besides the above uses I was surprised to find out some other uses for garlic. Did you know that garlic can reduce and sometimes reverse strokes? By thinning the blood garlic may be able to prevent deadly buildup of blood clots. It also fights infections and cancer, reduces and stabilizes blood pressure, can be helpful in detoxification, and even protect against pollution.

Garlic is a pretty amazing herb, and one I am going to continue using regularly. Not only do I love the taste it seems I have been doing my body a favor by taking it daily.

When using garlic for home remedies it is best to use Kyolic aged deodorized garlic or fresh cooked cloves.

Please note that these are all home remedy ideas, and use them at your own risk.

Shawn, for the congestion / sore throat, just chew on a whole garlic clove? Nothing else is required for that one? I'm not sure if I could eat a whole clove, but I'd certainly like to know more! Pinned!

Perhaps you could add information on what quantities of herbs/vegetables etc., are actually required to make a difference to your new website.

Good article Shawn! The bad thing with the garlic is that in order to get all these benefits, which it undoubtedly has, you should really consume large amounts of it. And I mean really large amounts! That is my professional knowledge. The side effect unfortunately is horrible breath. If the other person you are talking to has not eaten garlic as well, there is a possibility of faint. And that is the reason that I do not eat it although it gives food extra tasty flavor. I work in a medical laboratory and have people coming everyday for their tests. Many of them consume garlic. Ever since I started working I have never bought any of it again. Sorry... Just saying be careful with the amount. :-)
