Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino
This street article will be a review of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Located at 3950 Las Vegas Boulevard South on “The Strip”, this magnificent first opened its doors to the general public on March 2nd, 1999. Owned by the MGM Resorts International corporation, Mandalay Bay is one of the best luxury resorts on the planet.
Basic Information
Tourists and locals alike frequent this particular gaming and shopping facility each and every year. To be more specific, hundreds of thousands of travelers/locals choose Mandalay Bay as their destination for entertainment, accommodations, and relaxation. It is divided into two different towers, the first one being Mandalay Bay Tower. The second tower is called THEhotel. There is another very elegant hotel located on the top floors of the first tower called Four Seasons Hotel.
Main Attractions
Mandalay Bay features a variety of exciting attractions such as Mandalay Beach which is where the famous Wave Pool is located. The Mandalay Bay Convention Center is a million square foot facility designed to host major trade shows, and various types of conventions. The Mandalay Bay Events Center is a twelve thousand seat arena which holds musical concerts, casino shows, and sporting events. Shark Reef Aquarium is yet another major attraction which features a tunnel shaped, walk through aquarium as well as the third largest water tank in North America.

Mandalay Place is a nice shopping mall situated between Mandalay Bay and one of it’s sister properties, the Luxor. The resort features over twenty different restaurants such as Beach Bar and Grill, Charlie Palmer’s Steakhouse, RM Seafood, House of Blues Restaurant, and THEcafe to name a few. There are several lounges here as well. Tourists enjoy a cocktail or martini at the following lounges: Verandah Lounge, THElounge, Red Square Restaurant and Lounge, Ri Ra Irish Pub, Orchid Lounge, Mizuya Lounge, Bikini Bar, Minus 5 Ice Lounge, Fat Tuesday, Mix Lounge, Eyecandy Lounge, and Evening Call.
Night Life
LIGHT nightclub is a very popular place to dance the night away. This thirty eight thousand square foot venue features state of the art production, special effects, lighting, sounds, and of course famous disc jockeys providing a great selection of music. The club is associated with Cirque du Soleil. There is a forty dollar cover charge for men (twenty dollars for ladies) on Fridays and fifty bucks for men (twenty bucks for ladies) on Saturdays. The hours of operation are from ten pm until four in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays.
