Hogue Rubber Pistol Grips

So, like most of the guys I know and hang around with we have a lot of guns. I guess you could say Guns are like toys for guys. After all most guys I know are just really over grown kids. And like most of the guys I hang around with and know we tend to be competitive when it comes to the number of toys we have. Granted I don't think Guns are toys but rather this is just a fun term we use to describe them. Of course when boys have toys they want to customize them to their liking whether that be fit, feel, finish or overall appearance. One gun I have in particular is a Taurus Raging Bull 6 with a four inch barrel chambered in 357 Magnum. I didn't like the original grips that were included with this gun because they were made of a very smooth rubber that didn't give a very good grip feel in the hand when holding the gun. On this particular handgun I did a lot of research to find the particular grips that I wanted. I decided to install a set of Hogue Rubber pistol grips that were stippled. I chose the Hogue Rubber Grips because of their quality, fit, feel, finish and reputation. I think a good set of pistol grips should of course be made from quality materials, fit your hand nicely and have a finish that feels good in your hands. And of course no one wants to buy cheap knock offs that won't meet your expectations. After all some grips can be a little bit of an investment. If these above quantifiers aren't met chances are you probably shouldn't be buying those types of grips. Most of the time when you buy grips you won't need to change out any of the existing hardware unless you are changing to a different thickness than what was included with the original grips that came with the gun. If you are planning on changing grip sizes to better fit your hands then you may need to buy additional bushings and screws to fit the new grips you are installing. Of course there are hundreds of different types of pistol grips that you can buy to customize your particular gun. You just have to go out and find what you want based on what works, looks, and feels best for you. Once you have made that investment chances are you will enjoy shooting your particular gun for years to come.
