The Horton Vision Crossbow is no doubt one of the most unique looking crossbows on the market but does it have the stats to back it up?
My first experience with the Horton Vision Crossbow was at my local Bass Pro shop and actually only my 4th or 5th time shooting a crossbow period. The sales guy had me shoot about 6 or seven different bows including a Excalibur, a couple Barnetts and a Parker. He saved the Horton Vision Crossbow as the last one that I shot. I will admit this crossbow was a bit more expensive that the others, some by about 200 bucks, but as soon as I pick it up you will know why.
The Balance
The Balance on the Horton Vision Crossbow is amazing, everything else that I shot, no matter how much the sales guy told me about the features that were designed to balance the other crossbows out, they didn't even come close to how well balanced the Vision 175 is. The reverse draw design centers the weight over the forearm grip which makes it much easier and more steady to shoot. The monte carlo style cheek piece is also really comfortable and lines you up nicely with the scope.
Extremely Quiet
The next thing that I noticed or actually didn't notice was the sound. It was probably the noise in the store and my concentration taking aim but I didn't really notice the sound at first like I did with the other crossbows.
Overall the Horton Vision Crossbow is well worth the money I spent. It is extremely accurate, quiet, well balanced and much more compact than its competitors.
