How to Keep Your Fat Burner On

The trick to weight control is to ensure that your body uses calories efficiently and melts away any excess fat at the same time. This is especially important for persons who consume more than the requisite amount of calories daily. Failure to use calories efficiently or to burn excess fat will result in obesity. Obesity is the precursor to many dangerous health problems.

To ensure that your body uses the food you consume efficiently you must reduce the opportunities for food to be stored as fat. The steps detailed below can help you in this regard:

1. Control the amount of food you eat. The average person requires approximately 1500 to 2000 calories to function daily. Intake above or below this amount will trigger the body to go into fat storage mode.

2. Eat small meals frequently. Some experts suggest six meals of about 300 calories each would be ideal. The reasoning here is that these small meals will maintain the body’s fat burning mechanism and at the same time prevent it from switching fat storage.

3. Eat foods that are high in fiber. High fiber foods give you a feeling of fullness and help to reduce the need to consume large quantities of food.

4. Stock up on good or complex carbohydrates found in vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower. These are full of nutrients and antioxidants and are converted to fat at a slower pace than simple or bad carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates include foods like bread and rice.

5. Include small servings of fish, chicken and grass-fed meats in your diet. Fish is especially beneficial because it is packed with omega 3 fatty acids which are essential for heart in particular.

6. Exercise daily. Exercising forces the body to use energy. This energy generally comes from our daily food intake, but if that is not sufficient the body reaches into its source of stored energy – fat in order to meet this extra energy demand. Quite naturally then, if the body does this often enough and assuming that we control the amount of new calories we consume we should see some reduction in our weight. Be careful though because when the body uses any stored fat it seeks to replace it by boosting up your consumption and hence creating a vicious cycle.

7. Sometimes we may be able to keep the fat burner on using supplements. Recent findings supplements such as irvingia gabonensis, green tea and yerba mate may help to keep the fat burning switch on. As always, do check with your doctor before using any supplement.

Keeping your fat burning switch on is critical if you wish to properly manage your weight. The strategies outlined above are simple and require little effort to achieve.
