What is High Blood Pressure you ask?

I could tell you its the effect of fat and cholesterol stiffening up the arteries, but that's not what it's really about. High Blood Pressure can affect your life in many negative ways and I've experienced it first-hand. Flushing up red in your cheeks when its uncalled for, inducing feelings of heart burn, dizziness when you stand up, and over-sensitivity to heat. If you have these symptoms, make an appointment for a check-up because you are most likely a victim of Hypertension; the medical term for High Blood Pressure. The effect of Hypertension on me has nearly ruined my life. Normally I am a level-headed guy, but everyone gets a little nervous sometime; in everyday situations such as meeting new people, talking, maybe even a speech. When I become nervous I start to blush violently and my heart pounds loudly making me feel queazy. I can't even enjoy a stroll under the sun without feeling the heat rays boil my blood at medium-high causing me to sweat and be hyper-sensitive to sun burn.

Which people have a larger chance of having High Blood Pressure?

People who have close family members that experience hypertension are more likely to develop High Blood Pressure than others. Way to state the obvious right? My grandfather has been diagnosed with High Blood Pressure and so has my father recently. Now I can rest assured that I have High Blood Pressure, great. On the bright side, I'm seventeen and still young. If I start now, I might have a chance to prevent the onset of HBD. My diet used to consists of a lot of rice, spicy foods, and Soy Sauce. That dark sauce is evil, tempting, but I've learned to diminish it. I now have the sole will power to eat vegetables raw. It took time and consistency, I started out with Chinese Chicken salad and progressed to a level of eating Broccoli mano a mano. Speaking of Spanish, Latinos have been statistically found to have the highest rate of High Blood Pressure than any other ethnicity because of their lavish food habits. Mexican food is fairly heavy and tends to be eaten with a lot of hot sauce. I used to douse my burritos in hot sauce, and my fries drenched in ketchup respectively. Ketchup is another no-no. Sugars also contribute to increasing high blood pressure.

In a nutshell, No More:

  • fatty foods e.g.: fries, burgers, tater tots, ranch dressing, frozen food
  • Soy Sauce or Kimchi or Rice
  • Ketchup
  • sour candy
  • soda, cheap juice

This may be off topic, but salads are a great alternative to whatever else makes up your constitution. My personal favorite is an Arugula reduced red wine vinaigrette with chopped almonds, feta cheese, sun-dried cranberries or raisins, and a wee little olive oil. Salad used to be least preferred meal on menus, but now I embrace the recipes like a career. I got my cook books online for practically a free price. five cook books for 99 cents.
