A Little Story About God And The Hooker

The other day I was praying to God to put me in situations that I can help others. I also had this insight since I was doing limo jobs in the city that even though its kind of grimy and often times I would rather flee quickly when I pass thru maybe I should look a little more into balancing karma. So, I found myself at night passing through the downtown area not too far from the tenderloin area when I wanted some fish and chips from a place I know there. I knew the area around it was a mixed bag, strips clubs, no parking. All kinds of street life

So I got out and made my order and waited outside with an eye on my illegally parked car. Soon enough my eye caught hold of a pretty young woman I figured was a hooker walking across the street and she noticed me. She walked over to me and made some half heart effort to engage me in something and said, "can I sit in your car with you? she went on to mention her problems. I said "I'm waiting for my fish and chips" she said rather kindly, "will you buy me some fish and chips?' I was kind of touched by her sincere desire for food and I said sure. Something told me this was different that an average street encounter. It had a vibe of service.

We sat down and talked and I noticed how young she was and how she had even some braces that someone must have paid for. It made me think she is just a young girl or woman and its sad she is in the streets. I also admit I was checking out her short skirt and I tried to keep my intention on higher energies Anyhow being a hooker she started to try and steer me into her craft but I was getting this was my test to do the right thing and get out of there. Finally she asked me for some money, even 20 or 30 dollars. By then I was really thinking how can I get out of this because I knew it was going to at least cost me some money. I started to think I wish someone would call me so I could answer and say "I got a job, I have to go!"

Less than a couple of minutes later, the cell phone did ring and it was my friend Janine, the Ascended Master student. She said she had a strong urge to call me and it kept coming till she did. Later on she told me she had been thinking about Saint Germain a lot. .Naturally her CALL saved me and got me out of that situation I turned to the girl and said, "I've got to go to work" she understood and said bye and thanks.

Afterwards in the safety of my car I thought about my little encounter was a way God was answering my prayers to help others Later, I remembered that I also thought how sad I had been because my girlfriend moved out of state and how much I enjoyed having meals out together. I also prayed for God to bring some people and women I could go out to dine with. I guess my fish and chips with a hooker was an answer to that prayer too.

Afterwards I thought about the story of Jesus and the fishes and the loaves. About how we are really in many situations in life where we can be ministering to people. Feeding the people, with food sometimes and with kindness and love. Even when we are not completely perfect.

Thank you for sharing this honest story Ron. As Christians it's easy to forget that Jesus came to help the sinner and not the "saved". Being in church, while worthy of itself, is hardly standing at our post in a dark world.
