Now-a-days, people are in a constant state of transition. During this time it is important to not only acknowledge where you've been and how far you've come but where you are going. Your journey is a forest with many twists and turns. As we travel down these pathways, we are constantly changing (hopefully for the better) and many of us seek and find it important for others to acknowledge our growth and transition along the way. Sometimes they will and other times they won't. This also shows the stage that person is at on their journey through life and who they are in relation to you.
You may respect this person, love them even. Perhaps it is someone who has accomplished much in their lifetimes, someone you look up to; a partner, a friend, a peer, co-worker, mentor, or teacher and you would hope that they would acknowledge your accomplishments. If this doesn't happen there are times when we feel the need to fight back, prove who we are, but the fact that we are "fighting" means we've already lost.
Be better, conserve your energy, know that if you keep perceivering the acknowledgement will come...It may not be from that person, but that energy and understanding will be there. And when the energy and understanding, acknowledgement and joy is there for all the amazing work that you do, embrace it! Bask in its glory. If you are constantly trying to bring light into the shadows you may find yourself in a world of dark. You have opportunity and change on your side. Don't be stuck in stagnation.
You are energy. You are your own light. Bath in it often and know that there are people who are there who will love all that you are doing or applaud you for your efforts and your walk! Keep walking in the light. Remember that feeling when someone gives you a genuine compliment? It's the ultimate high! You feel your best: handsome/beautiful, smart, intellectually stimulating at times too! Know that you deserve that feeling.
Everyone deserves acknowledgment; for their walk, for their path & for their ever-changing transition.Pass on your recognition, share it with others. When you receive the gift of acknowledgement, know that there are others out there who would benefit from the same. Sometimes this is as little as asking how their day is going, saying thank you, or as big as recognizing them for winning an award, making the goal they once found unobtainable, but know that just by acknowledging what they have done-their walk, you are making a difference in their life.
So while we wander through random winding paths of transition, growth, and change, remember to acknowledge where you've been, how far you've come, and where you are going and make sure to do the same for others as well!
