Do you sometimes wish that you understood why you may not make as many sales as you would like, yet you are doing every thing right or so you think anyway. Well, I think you will agree with me when I say we can never have too much training on article writing. In fact, just to give you my two-cents on the matter I believe that becoming a better writer will help you to become a better affiliate marketer. In this article I will give you tips that may change your earnings.
Tell A Story for Your Product
When you are writing for a product tell a story about it. Tell how you use the product, how you found the product and why you use it. For example, say how the product has helped you with your marketing goals and what you are have accomplished because of having this great marketing tool. Sometimes having to think of this information is difficult but if you go to the product website you can use the advertisers evaluation of the product.
Use the Shoppers Five Senses
When it comes to making money or more of it, use video for the five senses of your shoppers. Shoppers are visual people they like to see what a product can do for them. Do you remember the old saying actions speak louder than words? Well that is definitely the case here. Video can appeal to your shoppers sight and hearing of course because they can see and hear the video that you are using in your presentation.
I know you are probably thinking... but what about the shoppers sense of taste, smell and touch. This appeal is used when you are writing your campaign.Your audience is able to smell by linking your writing to the shoppers memory. Write words or phrases that will make the shoppers remember a particular place or time.
The sense of touch is used when we use lines or phrases that makes the shopper believe that what we are describing about the product can be a reality for them. The sense of taste is closely linked to how you would write for smell and touch.
Here are some questions to ask yourself when writing the product description:
- How can I introduce the product to the shopper
- What does the product look like
- What will the product do for the audience
- How will the product appeal to the audience
Using Your Prose or Writers Voice
Why should the shopper buy the product or service from you? You never want to sound like you have rehearsed a commercial when you are selling your product or service so use your original writers voice. Sound positive and upbeat about the product but not too upbeat. Like, "this is the greatest product in the world" do you hear the over kill in that? Instead, say something like "this product has helped me to..." or "this product will help you to..."
Call To Action Words
Try not to use demanding calls to action words or phrases. You do not want to use the words "Buy this product right now!" Instead you would want to use a more subtle approach like this "Make your marketing easier with..."
With this information affiliate marketing is so much easier by using these tips while writing our marketing campaigns. As long as we tell a story, use the shoppers five senses, concentrate on our writers voice and use our calls to action words or phrases properly.
Thank you so so much... I wondered about my site and now I know. You don't know how much that means to me. Thank you again! Actually it has been you and Kevin and some of the other writers that have inspired me to start writing again. I can't say thank you enough.
