How To Find Competitors Keywords

I think it is wise to find competitors' keywords if you are building a keyword campaign. If you are able to link this information with the search volume for your keyword phrases, then your foundation is solid enough for a successful keyword campaign. However, you may still seek to know why it is so important to find competitors keywords.

Well, the truth is that search volume alone will only provide you with half of what the big picture really looks like. In other words, it will only tell you the amount of people looking for information about the keyword terms. Now, what about the number of people who know about the search volume? Of course, you will agree with me that it is equally important to know the number of your competitors who have written or built their web pages targeting the keywords you too want to target.

You need to find competitors' keywords because it is necessary to compare it with the search volume. One will be of no use without the other. If you have both your competitors' keywords and the search volume, you will be able to see the keyword's potential in a more holistic way. So, being able to find competitors' keywords alongside the search volume will pave the way for you to rank high for your keywords and eventually increase your profit.

I will not advise you to spend much of your valuable time and energy marketing around a keyword with a very low search volume because it means very few or nobody will see your contents eventually. In the same vein, I consider it a little bit irrational to build your marketing campaign around a keyword that is saturated with too much competition. Now, let's discuss what you should do to achieve after you find competitors' keywords.

You should find a keyword that is not saturated in the search engines. You should find keywords that are commercially promising - you will be able to get the details if you are able to find competitors' keywords and analyze them. Go for unique keywords that are not already flooded in the article directories. The big G, I mean Google, likes fresh contents from websites. This means that if there are too many articles written on your chosen keyword, the Google Spiders will not be attracted to your content. So, keep all of this in mind when you find competitors' keywords.

It is a serious mistake to look at search volume alone. Having half of the picture will only make your marketing campaign partially effective. You may argue that it is worth it if you get a fraction of the traffic by going for keywords with a high search volume. However, the truth is that if you look at the competition and find competitors' keywords for those keywords with high search volume, the competition will definitely be off the charts. In most of such cases, I bet there is little you could do to stand a chance against the competition!

Now, I guess you know why it is vital to find competitors' keywords and how your competitor keyword search can work with the search volume. It is also paramount to know what it takes to choose profitable keywords in your marketing campaign. You also know that avoiding competitor search is a mistake and what you should look out for when choosing keywords. So, I hope you have all it takes to make the most informed decisions about your keywords that will lubricate the wheel of success in your next marketing campaign.
