The first thing you must remember when you learn how to make money online with adsense is that you are working for Google. I think no one has an eye for details the way Google does. They have people who spend their time checking every rule on the websites with Google adsense installed. So you need to start by spending the time, however long it takes, to read and understand the Google Adsense terms of service. Just in case you are not sure how adsense works, this is a quick review of the system. Google makes a deal with the advertiser to show his add in the search results for a fee when the advertisement is clicked. You the publisher makes a deal with Google to show adds on your approved website for a percentage of that fee when and only when someone clicks on the advertisement. The ads shown on your site is based on your content and keywords. When an advertisement is clicked the advertiser pays Google and next month, Google pays you.

The theme of your website will determine how much you make on each click. If your plan is to use an existing website you need to go to the Google keyword tool and enter your url in the box and see what keywords popup for the site. Check the column titled approximate CPC, if you see amounts over $2.00, you are starting in a good place. If, however, you see a lot of $.05, you might better rethink using the site without serious rework of keywords and content.

Good practice is to check the approximate CPC for each and every website that you setup. A low CPC (cost per click) means that there is little to no interest in the keyword. Why go after parts of pennies when parts of dollars are just as easy to get. There is, however, a point of diminishing returns, the higher the CPC, the higher the competition. For example if you made the decision to only go after $20.00 keywords, you set your self up for failure. You might spend two months of SEO hard labor trying to get $20.00 clicks, but $2.00 clicks can be had in a few days.

Now that you have an idea for keywords that pay, you need the original content that will support those keywords when Google places the ad on your page. Every post or article on your site must be on topic and focused on your keywords, that is indeed how you make money online with adsense. Make sure it is keywords, meaning you cannot use the same word all the time, use a list of similar phrases that mean about the same thing.
