I Got Fired Now What Do I Do? Well, I\'ve Got Two Jobs for You!

If you just got fired recently then I'm sure you're stressing out. You've probably spend hours online looking for ways to make money, recover your lost job, or find a new one. Unfortunately, I don't have the solve-all answer to your problem, because everyone's situation is unique. What I would like to do with this article is present a possible solution, that will suit some people's needs.

Let's hope it works for you.

Now that you're on a 'surprise vacation', you've got some tough decisions to make. First things first, you'll need to make a budget. Regardless of how fast you think you'll find a new job, write down all of your monthly expenses and any one-time expenses that you know are coming up.

See where you can cut out unnecessary spending. You're going to need to make the money you have now, last longer than usual.

Two Jobs For Anyone Out of Work

Then, I think you need to balance two things in your newly found excess of time, and depending on your level of motivation, you can create a full time job of each (ie 6 - 8 hours per day).

One is of course, looking for a new job. Luckily, now we have the internet and you can do much of that from home. Of course appearing in person probably makes a better impression than simply emailing your resume to a thousand different companies, but many aspects of the job hunt can now be done online, including phone/video interviews, resume creation software, and lots of tips for job hunting.

There's a lot you can do on the internet, and it's going to take time to research and implement these new job-finding tactics.

Be Your own Boss

The second thing I'd like to propose to you is to start learning about internet marketing. The simplest way I can think of explaining it is, "owning a website that reviews products". Of course, it's a bit more complicated than that, and in some business models, you don't actually have to review, or even purchase the products you promote.

The details of which steps you need to take to get started can be worked out later, but what I mean to tell you is that this is a legitimate home based business; If you take the right steps to build a high quality website, it could mean that you don't actually have to find a new job.

You could be your own boss.

Legitimate Businesses That Help People

Please don't confuse this with multi-level-marketing, or pyramid schemes. This is not a get-rich-quick scam, or other type of dubious endeavor. Internet marketers, sometimes known as affiliate marketers are real entrepreneurs, creating real businesses that are designed to make the internet a more user friendly place by creating high quality websites to be found in search engines.

Though you may not have considered this option before, now you've got the time to do so.

Though you may enjoy reading a book, watching a movie, or chatting over coffee, now is 'crunch time', and you need to show yourself what you're made of.

I'm sure you're skeptical at this point, but maybe a little excited too.

So let me ask you.

How is your time more productively spent?

Wallowing in self-pity and staring at a wall?

Chilling out and enjoying unemployment benefits (if you have any)?

Or researching potential ways to start your own business, take control of your finances, and become financially independent?
