The Benefits Of Working Online

With all of the thousands of daily searches out there for the key phrase of make money online, one can’t help but wonder exactly what the perks of working full time from home actually are.

After giving this some careful consideration, I have decided to list what I feel are the most substantial perks to making your office become your home office.

  1. Having the ability to set your own hours: The biggest problem that almost all of the people I have talked to who want to work from home full-time is that they need a very flexible schedule. I know that at one time this was also extremely important to me as well as I needed to be able to put my kids on the bus, be there when they arrived home, and be available to help them with homework after school. Being able to select what times I was able to work around their schedule was very important.
  2. Determining how much or how little I needed to earn: The main problem that I found over the years of working for an employer in a brick and mortar facility is that I was at their mercy for my earnings potential. If I wanted to make more one payday for an upcoming expense, then there was seldom any overtime available. One nice thing about working online for me was that while most places didn’t pay any type of overtime, I was able to log additional work hours in so that I would have a nicer amount come in on payday.
  3. Being able to switch tasks: I get bored very easily. I always enjoy a challenge as well. Working online has allowed me to have the flexibility to do both. If I get bored with writing one week for example, then I may switch over and do a little bit of keyword research for clients. Having the ability to do this gives me a feeling of completing new challenges, and acquiring new skills that I can later use for my own endeavors online.

Why do you want to work online?

Those are my biggest three reasons for wanting to work full-time from home online. I know that they really aren’t that glamorous, but hey they’re very practical.

What are your strongest motivators for finding online jobs? Is there a reason that you desired to leave the typical 9 to 5 cubicle and literally bring your work home with you?

Post your responses in the comment field below and share your experiences working from home with the rest of us.
