Perhaps you belong to the social network known as Twitter. You use Twitter to see what is trending and to post links to articles that you have published online. You might even want to have posted 1000 tweets by the end of the year. You can achieve your goal if you write and post every day. Remember, however, that there are some places where you should not tweet.
Avoid posting during a meeting at work. You might miss important information that you need. This information could be about details on an upcoming conference or project. Even worse, your supervisor might embarrass you by putting you on the spot and asking you to tell the group what he was just talking about. Save yourself from this embarrassment, and wait until after work to tweet. By waiting until after work, you will also avoid getting in trouble for doing activities that do not pertain to your job. There are other places where you should not tweet, as well.
If you are a student, do not tweet while you are in class. Your teacher may think that you are sending someone answers to a test and therefore helping the person to cheat. Also, your teacher will definitely consider the tweeting very rude. He may therefore take your device away from you. He may even kick you out of the classroom. Do not risk losing the device that connects you to the rest of the world, and avoid the humiliation of being asked to leave the room. Resist the urge to tweet during class. You should also avoid any online activity--Twitter, Facebook, or otherwise--while you are out with others.
If you go out to lunch with a friend, for example, the friend wants to talk with you. He is eager to catch up and see what has been going on in your life. If, while you are together, you go online and update your Facebook status or check the trends on Twitter, your friend will feel uncomfortable. He will feel that he is not important to you. He is important, and he deserves your time and attention. Show him that he is important by paying attention to him.
It is alright to tweet if you are alone and if you are at home. When you are by yourself, feel free to tweet to your heart's content. You will see what people are talking about, and before you know it, you should achieve your goal of 1000 posts.
