30 In 30 Challenge - My Journey Is Complete

And what a learning experience it was.

Today is Day 30 in my 30 in 30 Challenge and was able to complete the requirements fairly easily. Think I actually have posted 40 articles in that time period and I have learned so much about writing articles and marketing niche products to build a business.

What got me started in article marketing.

I have been doing some sort of internet marketing for many years but mostly in the network marketing (mlm) industry. I really got tired of that type of promotions for various reasons so decided to change directions and market affiliate products.

As many have found in the affiliate marketing business, there is plenty of advice on marketing an affiliate product. Before long I was completely overloaded with all that and had no clear sense of direction. One day I was introduced to a lady named Jennifer- AKA PotPieGirl - and purchased her guide called, One Week Marketing.

Her guide gave me a clear sense of direction and a daily plan of action on finding, researching , and building an affiliate marketing business. The guide helped make my first sale as an affiliate marketer.

.....and introduced me to article marketing and Street Articles.

It was also recommended the need for my own domain so was then introduced to Wealthy Affiliate for the easy web site creation and hosting offered. And the 30 in 30 challenge.

The 30 day writing guide.

When taking the challenge you will receive a daily guide with suggestions on writing your articles from Kyle, one of the top Street Article authors and part owner of Wealthy Affiliate. I've save all 30 of the daily guides in a folder in my email account, which I refer to frequently.

The learning experience.

Doing research on the many articles you write will be a tremendous learning experience also. I found many areas I was weak in so the research helped me gain the knowledge on many aspects of writing articles and promoting affiliate products. Much of this I have tried to share with those reading my articles.

When first started the challenge I set a few goals along with the guides received from Kyle and the 30 n 30 Challenge. One was writing at least two articles a day. I'm not the quickest with the pen so didn't want to get behind in the challenge. When I start a project then it's something I always like to get behind me, so actually could have finished the challenge in about 16-18 days.

Second goal, as I do have a competitive nature, was to raise my rank within Street Articles and provide quality content to readers. I'm quite happy with my results there also.

So why take the challenge.

Exposure. The more articles you write then the more exposure your articles are given, and that relates to more views and follows to your website. Isn't that the whole point in these writings for those marketing an affiliate product? Sure, some articles were just for the fun of it and a nice little detour and respite from just business all the time. I find I am much more relaxed as a whole in my day to day life, and I'm pretty laid back as it is...lol

Finding your true niche.

Through the articles I've written, research, and especially the comments posted, I've turned in a somewhat different direction with my marketing than where I originally started. As many may have read, I am an avid angler and bass fisherman. A true niche for me, but I've found I really like helping others so have purchased a new domain reflecting that desire and will begin developing that shortly.

I truly appreciate those that have read my articles and especially those that have commented on my writings. So many of you have given me new ideas and inspiration for more articles. So to all - Thank You So Much
