An entrepreneur focuses on having his/her own business, no bosses, no commute, no employees. Nothing seems more inviting than the flexibility of a home based business and the freedom to seek your own path.
Our focus on a Plan B and recommending a home based business is simply seeking financial security for your family. If you ever lose your job, your career or have no income, you'll appreciate the benefits of a Plan B.
Even a small home business is far better than none at all. Whatever the reason or no reason at all, your boss stops by and says.... "today is your last day, clean out your desk and security will walk with you to the parking lot". My recall from personal experience [once in my working career] is NOT a fun day.
At the time, I worked for a national $100 million dollar business with national recognition. Suddenly, my income went from good to nothing; insurance was immediately cancelled; there was no good reason for the termination either. At our house, we had never considered a Plan B since we "assumed" that nothing could go wrong for us with our employer.
Fortunately, we were able to connect with a future business partner [unknown to us at the time!] and within 6 weeks we were back in the same business with 99% of our former customers still with us. If you know GOD is good, all the time, then you'll understand our joy that resulted from this experience.
Starting over was not a problem but losing 40% of my former salary was tough, however, the 100% loss for 6 weeks was even more difficult. Fortunately, our income quickly moved up and passed our former salary plus perks. A bad situation turned into our best opportunity to grow the business and prosper.
A word of caution for you.... all businesses experience "curves" during the journey regardless of success or failure. There is NO perfect business that we have found in our searches. Not a perfect analogy but it seems that finding a perfect marriage, perfect siblings, perfect parents or perfect children is impossible. Agreed?
Actually, the failure rate for start up businesses is about 90% within 10 years, many fail within 6 months or less for a variety of reasons. Usually, lack of money or financial support is a major factor. Sales ability and lack of good customer service looms high on the scale for businesses that fail.
Home based business opportunities is a good place to begin your Plan B. Learning the ropes and spending time at the WAU or Wealthy Affiliate University is our best suggestion for great talent being shared across the Internet Marketing world. Low cost for a great place to learn.
