Staying on top of the seemingly endless amounts of information and associated tasks; whether it's work or college, or both in most cases; is a losing battle because home and relationship activities also have a role in adding to the stresses of managing those "time takers". If you're agreeing with me; then you've probably been overwhelmed lately with juggling all of these responsibilities. You've read the material on time management, goal setting, writing techniques, and reading retention that are a part of every initial college class, but you still feel overwhelmed because just one task can engulf the others without a proper work/life balance in place. Well I've cut through all the technical language and huge lists of requirements to assemble a short list that only should take a half hour of your time.
Tips for keeping the "Overwhelming Monster Away"!
Set time limits for your required tasks. This is a common statement, but many of us blast the time limits away if the task(s) at hand aren't completed in the given time. The suggestion of setting time limits on your tasks and moving to the next one (mainly college requirements) even if the task isn't complete may seem like Attention Deficit Disorder tendencies, but it's more geared for tackling new territory. New students, new promotion, new spouse, and in some cases, all of the above can be overwhelming no matter what techniques are used.
If I've worked all day and still have five hours of class after work ahead, plus travel/traffic, plus home requirements; there is a definite need for a strategic approach because if college is involved, actually learning the material is key, so managing that time is where the task completion can be compromised, but returned to later. Hours can pass without anything at home getting done, so I suggest learning the best techniques available for managing your study time. If starting a new business, more research is always required and welcome.
Study Techniques Overflow into Work/Life Balance
Time management is key, but how that time is used is what we have to optimize for true work/life balance. Multi-tasking is the only way everything can be completed successfully, stress free, and actively learning what's required in work, relationships, college, home, and recreation.
It is one giant multi-tasking event on a daily basis, and developing a routine with a schedule for daily tasks is what can make the difference in a state of well-being or continuously catching up, causing undue stress and forgetting important tasks. It's very important to optimize what's in your schedule like Goal Setting, Reading Retention, and Multi-Tasking, so more learning takes place and a stress free work/life balance is created.
The half hour or so that you can spend for professional development skills in college classes or multi tasking alone, can spill over and effect the rest of the requirements in your daily life. This will ultimately allow for more achievements and successes with online marketing, and will naturally affect those around you in a positive manner!
