Does affiliate marketing work? With all of the scams on the internet, including scams by some so called affiliate marketing "gurus", this is a question I hear quite often. Can you really make money with affiliate marketing? Are any of these ebooks, courses, or training sites any good and do they teach things that work? Or are they just there to make money for the site owner?

Before I answer these questions, you first need to have a good grasp of what affiliate marketing is. Affiliate marketing is when you promote someone else's product or service and earn a commission whenever someone buys based on your recommendation.

For example, lets say you sign up to be an affiliate marketer for Amazon.com. You decide to promote cell phones that are on the Amazon website. Amazon will pay you $50 for every phone that is bought based on your promotional efforts. There are literally thousands of companies that will pay you a commission for promoting their products or services. Many of these are very well known companies such as eBay, Walmart, Best Buy, Time Warner, Dish Network, AT&T...the list is endless.

That fact alone should tell you that yes, indeed, affiliate marketing does work! These companies would not waste time and money creating affiliate programs if they were not profitable both for them and for the affiliate. The trick is to learn how to market properly so that you can get customers and make money. And a lot of places that claim to teach you how to do this are pure garbage. They only teach part of the full story and leave you alone to figure out the rest by yourself.

I should know. I have bought over 100 affiliate marketing eBooks and courses, have spent thousands of dollars, and while most of them have a few good tips, very few of them offer everything you need to know to be successful at affiliate marketing.

Having said that, once you find good training that teaches you everything you need to know, affiliate marketing can be very profitable. I have made tens of thousands of dollars in my spare time, and I personally know several people who make 6 figure incomes every year doing affiliate marketing full time.

Does affiliate marketing work? Yes it does indeed. When you find the right training from successful marketers who want to help others to be successful, you can turn affiliate marketing into a full time income.
