It is absolutely wonderful to know that if I work hard enough, I can build my Internet Marketing business into something substantial enough to replace my day job. I can picture the smile on my face with extra time on my hands due to the fact that i’m doing what I love and supplementing my income at the same time.
If I was to continue my current direction, as an hourly wage earner, I could retire at age 62 and collect 2% of my monthly salary. A couple thousand dollars a month for 20 plus years of service is the average amount a retiree can expect to see. Is that enough to last throughout your golden years?
If you haven't planned ahead for your retirement and you don't have a savings put away, you could very well outlive your savings and have to rely solely on your retirement income. With the rate of inflation, that will most likely not be enough income to maintain your current lifestyle.
You probably have seen an increasing amount of seniors working part time jobs that normally teenagers would be working. An studies are showing that most of the Baby Boomers, those born between the 1950's and 1964, have not saved enough money to live on during retirement. And with the growing concerns that Social Security Benefits will not be available to retirees in the future, even more emphasis should be concentrated on savings or additional income.
People are living longer these days, well into their eighties, and so that means you will need savings in addition to any retirement account to fund the lifestyle you are used to.
One option is to start a business of your own on your spare time that you can rely on to cushion your bank account during those latter years. If you have a hobby or passion you can possibly turn into a profitable activity during retirement that would be great.
However if that activity consumes all of your time you could find yourself feeling shackled yet again to another job. On the other and if you are doing something you love it will feel less like a job and more like getting paid for having fun.
There could be nothing better than working for yourself, doing what you love, and living your life without the stress and worry about money or if Social Security Benefits are going to be cut. Thats what retirement should be all about. Right?
So begin to look at ways to earn money while doing what you love. This could be your golden ticket to a wonderful and carefree retirement.
