Fancy a Career Change Online? A Few Ideas for You.

Fancy a Career Change Online? Well here are a few ideas to get you going.

First thing you have to ask yourself is why do you want a career change? Perhaps you have no choice, in today's economic climate redundancies are a real problem and the economy is only recovering slowly in many countries. Maybe you are lying awake at night thinking "I hate my job/boss/working hours/poor salary (or even all of them)" or maybe you just feel as if you are in a rut and life is too short.

Whatever the reason then now you are here and you are reading this so to me it strikes me that YOU are ready to take action. Notice that word? ACTION. It is only too easy to read, research, think, read more, look at websites etc. but that is not action. You need to do your research of course but until you do take action (see how I keep repeating that word) then a career change online is never going to happen.

Right then, now that is established then what are the alternatives available to you for your career change online? This short list is by no means exhaustive but it will, I hope, give you some ideas.

1) Writing. Are you a budding author? Do you have a talent to write captivating text to create a best seller, after all it is now possible to do that and publish entirely on line. one of my wife's friends has done just that and his book can be downloaded to a Kindle from Amazon. Completely self written and self publicised. The commission is small but it is there.

2) Selling online. Ebay or its equivalent has given many people a completely new career online. If you have the energy and the storage space (nothing compared with what a real shop needs) then it is a real possibility. As long as you are prepared to stock, sell, parcel and post then the potential is huge.

3) Now to my personal favorite and the one I suggest you look long and hard at if you really are serious about making a career change online successfully. affiliate marketing. This actually takes many forms but in the simplest terms you direct people to another website by one of several methods, they take an action which earns that website money by buying something or gives them information which they can use (perhaps to give an insurance quote would be one example) and you get paid commission for your efforts.

What advantages does that bring.

  • You do not need to stock anything. Companies such as Amazon do all that for you.
  • You do not need to worry about delivering anything of course.
  • All the financial side is dealt with by someone else. Far less hassle for you.
  • You can work from home. No more treks to the office
  • You can work whatever hours suit you, the more you do the more you get out of course. Imagine what flexibility that would give you with your lifestyle. time for friends and family and those holidays you always promised your self.

4) Multilayer Marketing (MLM) is the last one on this list but I suggest you avoid it if a career change online is something you want to do for peace of mind. You know pyramid selling is illegal in many countries? Well if someone can tell me what the real difference is between MLM and pyramid selling then I will give then my internet business for free. (Pretty confident about the safety of my online income).

To sum up then, a career change online is a very real possibility for anyone with access to the internet but a career change online needs careful thinking about and overcoming the initial learning curve can seem a bit daunting. The good news is that affiliate marketing can be done relatively cheaply and once the skills are acquired they can be applied to many parts of making money online.

Good luck in your career change. Online there might just be a solution for you.
