Yes, true, it is only May 3 (which I just realized was my mothers birthday) and yes I am writing this article about Halloween, which is a whole six months away. But, as an owner of thirteen Halloween Websites and with the amount of maintenance it takes to keep websites in tune with Google, I ask the question, Is It To Early to start preparing for Halloween?
Anybody who is in the marketing business may be asking the same question, but I am sure it is only the people who are new to marketing like myself. As this article directory, Street Articles is new to all and is a growing powerful site, I have been wondering would it be wise to start writing countless article for the thirteen Halloween site and having them ready for around August and September and to start then submitting them slowly and daily.
The task of keeping your sites up to date is a tough task as any of us newbies to Internet Marketing will know. I only built all these sites around 9 months ago which I now believe and know I went a little nuts building sites for a guy who had never built a website before, was only training in Internet Marketing with the Wealthy Affiliate University and types (still) with one finger, yes, I only learned to use a computer 2 years ago (at 33, lame) but I have progressed.
Now, my sites last Halloween, though not the best looking sites, did pretty well earning me decent money for a complete novice, but, it took a whole lot of work and day after day of informative articles to bring traffic to the sites.
Now with the big changes in Google lately, Article Marketing is changing for the better and this will challenge my Article marketing skills, hopefully improve them, but it is pretty easy to write about the Halloween niche because I genuinely love Halloween and the costumes created and it is interesting trying to explain how costumes can look to people and why I love them.
The Interesting fact I want to see is how Street Articles will compare to Ezine in the run up to Halloween. Though there have been many changes with articles and directories and especially Ezine, the crazy thing is, though some people have lost traffic to their articles at Ezine, my Halloween articles have improved and still get plenty of clicks even at Christmas, strange but good for my sites. So it will be interesting to see if Street Articles will have the same power as Ezine had for me last year.
But, right now as I type this I still want to know is it to early to start writing Articles for Halloween? Of course in the last few weeks, some my sites have been affected by the Google Panda business and lost rank while others have moved up a rank, wish I knew why but what I do know is back-linking has to start now (as it well has) and need to start moving these sites up in rank as competition is stiff but not impossible so this is one of the main reasons why I am thinking it is time now to start writing articles for these sites.
So I ask the question, especially for people in the same niche or boat, how do you prepare for something months away? Do you wait 'till a couple of months before or are you already ready(which would really shock my bones)?
I think it is not too early. Better to start early than to let it creep up on you and not be prepared. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Lyn, I wrote this article last year, I am well prepared this year for Halloween.
Thank you Scott and I am getting on top of things as we speak, cheers.
It is never too early to write articles for Halloween. I am in the same niche, and I feel the the more info you get out there, the better off you will be. Just remember to use strong keywords and phrases, good content and have a great landing page. Pick a product in your niche, find your keywords and write some killer content. Even though it is a seasonal niche, it is vitally important to keep on top of it year round for brand recognition.
Thank you Robbie and I am on to the back-linking and also yes your right, costumes are always needed, time for some nice articles cheers.
