If you are using the Internet to make money, and you regularly post to Twitter, you may have considered buying Twitter followers. There are several sites that offer various follower packages. You pay a given price for a package, and with that package, you get a certain number of followers who will read your work. Theoretically, this method of getting followers would help you to earn money faster than you would earn it if you waited for an email notification that informed you that you had another Twitter follower. In terms of business, it makes sense to buy followers. Getting more followers means that you earn more money. When you earn more money, you can live the life that you want to live. As most people know, earning money takes time and patience. It generally does not happen overnight. After some time, however, you may have enough money to pursue your dreams. More followers will get you closer to making your dreams come true. However, morally and ethically, buying followers seems wrong.
I do not want my followers to feel obligated to read my work. If I "bought" them, I think that they would feel an obligation to read it in order to carry out the business arrangement. They would not be reading my articles because they actually wanted to read them or because they saw that I had posted something new. Rather than buying my followers, I prefer to have them decide on their own that they want to follow me.
This way of obtaining Twitter followers feels much more ethical to me. While it may take longer to obtain followers this way, I know that the followers I do get are reading my work because they are interested in the topics I write on, they evidently enjoy my writing, and they want to know what I have to say. I am interested in sharing my work with people who honestly want to see it.
For example, if I published an article about an experience I had, I would want followers who had had the same experience. Since we had the same experience, they would be able to identify with me. These followers would be the ones who would most likely watch for the next article I published.
Similarly, if I write about a sport or hobby that I am interested in, I would want followers who are also interested in the sport or hobby. We may be able to learn from each other, and our new knowledge will help us to get more enjoyment out of our activity.
Enjoy Twitter. It is a great site that allows you to see what others are talking about. Post to your heart's content, but think carefully before deciding to buy Twitter followers.
I feel the same way and won't buy followers. I want them to want to follow me because of what I'm writing or promoting. In fact, I've recently begun unfollowing people because I'm not interacting with them. I have new folks and try to make sure I'm involved with them and even retweeting because I like what they're doing. Great article
