As I sit facing thinking of my retirement and of having a grim outlook when it comes to any kind of retirement I have to think outside the box..Having lived day by day with really no regard for the future until the future roared its ugly head so to speak, I find myself thinking about jobs in retirement.
What will I do?
I knew I always wanted to write articles, and I love working online so I started searching around for a way to speed up any kind of chance at becoming comfortable in my senior years.I was lucky enough to be introduced to a group of people here at StreetArticles that helped show me I can write and I am able to explore the areas of internet marketing that can help me be successful.
How can I get started?
I took the 30 articles in 30 days challenge that was offered at StreetArticles and away I went. I started thinking of all the people who have no plans for retirement. I started looking up things on Google that had anything to do with jobs in retirement, part time jobs in retirement, etc...I kept getting pointed to a site that seemed to have all the answers I was looking for. They were not making any promises of getting rich, or making any bold statements most sites are always stating.
What next?
I was really impressed that these people were telling me they were offering all the training and tools I would need to get a successful business online up and running in about 30 days but they also were saying it was going to be hard work. I started thinking if I used even half the time I waste just surfing around on actual work I could make this happen! I took the plunge and became a member and promised I would at least treat it as a part time job, but it has turned into so much more.
Is this my retirement answer?
It really comes down to how much effort you want to put into working. You can treat it as a part time job or you can work it full time, as I am doing. The best part is you are your own boss and you can pick your own hours. This appealed to me so much I decided I really had nothing to loose by starting to train in Affiliate Marketing. Yes, I am treating this like my retirement answer, and I would like to share it with you.

Good article, Shawn, thanks. We need to plan for our retirement and this is a good way to do that.
Your retirement answer seems to be a great way to share it with you for many people. Good article; well done! Living a good witness and teaching go hand in hand. Walking this path brings satisfaction from helping people. Thanks!
I am so glad to hear your online business is doing so well...and another great article about retirement
Shawn, I'm retired and doing a lot of different things. I have not boiled it down to a success formula, but would like to share an article I wrote - Are You Living the Dream off Dreaming the Life. I don't know how I ever had time to work for anybody else.
Thanks for the follow. Love your article. I recently retired from 31 years of teaching. I am loving it.
Shawn if we live long enough, retirement will come. But these bills will not give us any slack, so we have to work hard in our youth, and if we save and invest a little, when we cannot work any longer, we will be all right.
