Internet Gurus, they are ALL over the internet. So many of these people are trying to use the "Just like us normal folks" tactic in hopes of getting them to buy their product. Now, I will be completely honest when I say I still don't fully understand alot of aspects when it comes to internet marketing, however I still see when someone is trying to sell me crap.
One Particular thing that bugs People about the internet gurus is the ability to make some coin simply by deceiving people. A good percentage of people (we will say 70% to be safe), buy these products with the last of their money in hopes of hitting it big. They make it sound so beautiful on paper by saying "Hey buddy, if you pay for this and that, you will have 300 million dollars sitting at your door by the end of the month!!" If only it were that easy, easy to pay a one time fee then get that amount of money. If that was the case, Writing articles and Affiliate marketing wouldn't be so popular (To most it would probably be foreign).
Another thing that really seems to rub people the wrong way is when you try to unsubscribe to their product (this normally comes with recurring fees), and they make you go through so much bull to get a refund. There's horror stories all around the net concerning people who have unsubscribed to their service, and yet they still charge them everything else under and over the sun. Later on people involve the Better Business Bureau and credit card companies just so they can seek the appropriate refund that they deserve. As if that was worst, these dissatisfied individuals hop on forums in hopes of warning people of the unforeseen dangers for newcomers.
Next thing that bothers people is the fact you subscribed to their email list, where they fill your inbox with a bunch of crap you don't need. We have all been through it once, where we subscribe to them because they make it seem like they know what they are talking about. This more or less goes in the category of deceiving people, but now make money off an email list and send you stuff that will most likely set you back. Why do they do this? Oh I don't know, because it is possible to coin off the people who know little to nothing about the subject.
Last thing that really seems to catch people off guard about Internet gurus, the ability to bad-mouth the others when they themselves are one as well. If you have seen some of their advertisement pages, they may say something along the lines of "I'm about to give you a formula that will change your way of living; Something these other internet gurus don't want you to know." Really? Is that really what you guys are doing, make it seem like your any better? When you have some real core training, you look at these guys and just want to laugh.
My opinion on Internet Gurus:
They are out there and they continue to grow everyday. I know for a fact that they won't end, and in turn can be a bad and good thing at the same time. However, My firm belief is that business will be better for them if they would actually tell the truth about their product, that way you will bring in better business. But to most, they don't care, as long as they money continues to flow in, they care less who they are ripping off.
