Niche Affiliate Marketing Survival

Some things to do to survive as in niche marketing.

Today millions of men and women are turning to the internet looking for that secret formula or some obscure product that will give them the greatest amount of income. This may actually happen occasionally but the secret to niche affiliate marketing, year in and out, are the good marketing practices that have been proven over the years.

There are certain things that every niche marketer should do that work and will continue to work while other "fads" come and go. There are three strategies that have been proven to create and increase affiliate income that will help you service in the affiliate marketing world.

Those three time proven tactics for niche affiliate marketing survival are:

1. No "catch all" pages. You want your web pages to target each unique product or service you are promoting. If you don't have your own hosting service then create separate pages for each product on a blog. They are simple, easy, and free to create.

Adding testimonies and customer reviews on your niche product to your pages is always a good touch. People do like to know what others think about a product or service. If you have some experienced then relate them also.

2. Offer something of value. It's always helpful to offer something of value to someone visiting your website. Ebooks, reports, or even instructions on the use of the product can be helpful. Locate this in an area of the page that is very visible to the reader. Usually toward the top of the page. Sales are not always closed on first contact when a prospect visits your pages so something you have given is a good reminder of who, what, and where the visitor made contact with you. When possible it should contain a link back to your page or affiliated sales page.

It's also good practice to provide a form for the potential customer can request further information. Two things happen when someone visits your sales page. You either convert a sale or the prospect leaves and may not return. If they have entered their information in your form then you have a way of providing more information to the prospect as a reminder.

If you are able to contact the prospect again then don't send an email as a big sales pitch but just more information on the product. Emails that are loaded with sales pitches, "free" stuff, and some of the older past spam type emails will likely be sent straight to a spam or junk folder and never seen by the reader.

3. Targeted traffic. This is key to your niche affiliate marketing survival. You really only want folks that are truly interested in the product or service you are offering visiting your pages. Buying "guaranteed" traffic is just a shot in the dark. Those kinds of "leads" really have no interest in what you may be promoting or even an idea how they landed on your page.

How to get that targeted traffic? You guessed it. Write articles and submit them to directories. Have your articles run in ezines that generally target the type of audience that may be interested in your niche product promotion. Ezine advertising is a lot cheaper than you may realize. A $20 add or article in an ezine may reach as many of 10,000 subscribers or more.

A couple of articles a week explaining the benefits of your niche product and perhaps one or two paid adds in an ezine a month is a good number to shoot for when just starting out in niche affiliate marketing. By doing this you will start to generate perhaps a hundred or more targeted readers to your pages each day. Just remember that niche affiliate marketing is somewhat like a numbers game and targeted traffic is key to your business survival. Everyone that visits your page will not buy, but with enough targeted readers you will make sales.

The things mentioned are the tried and true methods that successful affiliate marketers use to generate their sales. All that is required is a little time and effort on your part along with a good action plan to put those things in place. To survive as a niche affiliate marketer just remember the things that are time proven and with time those paycheck will come.
