Lately it seems I have been one tracked in my articles and post. Over time I have beat my head against the wall because no matter how much you want a person to succeed you cannot make them succeed. You spend all your time pondering about what they should do or how they should do it. You seem to be engulfed with the passion of understanding their solution and your head just spins thinking about how silly or mistaken they are for not following your advice or seeing things your way.
Now there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting better for others you come in contact with. The problem many of us face is we do not even walk our talk. A while back I attended an awesome national convention for a leading IMO(insurance marketing organization). One night outside of a hotel a homeless man or street walker approached a few buddies of mine and myself. The man began to tell us how crazy and mistaken we were about our futures. He was adamant about how we dont get it and how we wouldn't be smiling much longer. He said he was like us and at one time in his life made tons and tons of money. This all came from a street walker who asked for no money or anything, he simply told us off as if he felt sorry for us while we stood in front of a top knotch hotel that provided pretty much every amenity needed.
Why did I mention this story? I will try to make some sense of it in a couple of sentences.
* Whether wrong or right the man thought he was doing us a favor by giving us his two cents or advice.
* We didn't ask for his advice.
* He thought we were crazy for doing what we were doing(pursuing dreams and goals).
* He thought we should be more like him because he knew better than us(sitting on sidelines yapping our mouths being a spectator)
* We found it hard to listen or take the guy seriously because of his words and the actual results or proof of his solutions(his appearance and perceived mental stability).
I have totally taken a different route with this article but I believe it is important to have favorable results to show or at least desireable results if we are going to go around telling people what they should be doing or how they should be doing it.
The reason most people fail online and never become an online marketing pro is the same reason a person can fail at anything.
* You take your eyes(focus) off the prize
*You talk talk talk about what you know 99% percent of the time and do what you say you know 1% of the time
* You allow others' negative opinions steer you away from your dreams and desires.
I guess I have mentioned all these things to get to this one point. If you want to be influential, have your opinion respected, and make a difference in other's lives...... Then you must first impact yourself in a positive manner which will drive YOU to lead by example and by leading by being an example you provide others with a clear path to follow.

Great comment talk 99% of time, do what you say 1% of time. So true. We all just need to take more action. Like your article Sylvester.
