An interesting and fun alternative to article marketing is blogging. The two have many similarities and both can make money for you. As you know in article marketing, writing requires consistency and with the understanding that as time goes by, you will be rewarded for your efforts with increased exposure to your site, which translates into more sales!
Making a profit from blogging requires a little more knowledge apart from what you already know about article marketing. However, there are many similarities, as I mentioned. Blogging and writing can be considered the same here for the sake of discussion. You must be consistent in both areas, and once you’ve reached the 50 or 100-post/article level, you can expect to begin seeing some positive changes in your business. This is provided that you, of course, are writing original, informative, and interesting content.
Perhaps my most favorite type of blogging is niche blogging. In fact, that’s the only kind of blog I’ve ever had. A niche blog targets a specific topic or subject. Hopefully, your niche blog relates to what you know something about, or plan to learn about before you go live. The reason I say that is because it’s crucial to have pertinent information about your topic that is fresh and informative.
The first step in beginning to profit from blogging is use the same SEO techniques for your blog as you do for your articles. You will want to generate as much traffic to your blog as possible. Using article marketing techniques will work great. Read my article, “Article Marketing for Beginners,” located at Street Articles, for more information. In other words, remember to research your topic in detail – then post something about it on your blog. As in article marketing, use keywords within your post to make it search engine friendly to assist your post and/or blog in getting ranked higher in the search engine results pages (SERPS). As you know, the higher your ranking, the more traffic to your blog!
Once you have your blog setup, which you can do very easily through Wordpress or Blogit, for free, you should take the time to learn all you can about your new blog. However, the free versions are limited but will suffice in the beginning. It’s my opinion that you probably would like to begin with a professional blog that has all the features you’ll need to succeed in the shortest time possible.
If you are just beginning to learn about how to profit from blogging, there are hundreds of sites on the Internet that will discuss the basics. Learning the real stuff that will make you money is learned from different sources other than someone trying to sell you something, however. If I were you, I would stick with those who are there to help you. There are plenty of us out there!
