So what's That Free Thing that everyone's talking about? I read about it on different sites and never thought too much about it. I've seen many offers on the internet that say that they have great offers. You've probably heard of Groupon, Living Social to name a couple, and although I am a member of these sites, the majority of offers I get are for a percentage off of a purchase that I have to make, or buy something and then get something free.
I decided to join That Free Thing as a Freeloader (which is what they call a member who doesn't pay anything to become a part of their offers). All I did was sign up and I was then able to receive at least 5 free things each week. Even being just a Freeloader wasn't bad. I was able to receive a free pair of prescription eyeglasses, something I had been needing for quite some time but didn't want to fork out the money to get a pair. I also was able to get a few great samples of things that I had been interesting in trying, but not bad enough to buy them without knowing whether they worked.
After I had been a member for a bit, I decided to sign up for their other membership. It cost me $25 for a one time membership and then $9.95 each month that I decided to stay. Since they are in the pre-launch stage, I figured I would see just how good the cost of $9.95 a month was, as they promised that you would get hundreds of offers each month for totally free things, not a percentage off, not buy one get one free, but hundreds of totally free items.
After I signed up and paid the one time membership fee, it took me less than 20 minutes to realize that the price I paid was going to be more than fair for what I would get. Within that 20 minutes I looked through the first 5-8 pages and was able to get a free Zippo lighter, free laundry detergent, a one year subscription of a magazine, a coupon for a free doughnut (who doesn't love that), 2 free samples for meat seasoning, and these are just a few of the things I remember getting within the first 20 minutes. There were more than 20 pages that I still could go through with totally free offers. A few of the things that I passed over was a 2 day stay at a Las Vegas hotel, free pass to amusement parks, free concert tickets, and many, many other samples and offers.
The other option with the same $25 one time membership and $9.95 per month fee was to have all the business tools you needed to promote their product, have a 3 x 8 matrix business plan, and also a bonus compensation plan for getting other people and friends to be a member with you. So that was an another benefit and seems would be an easy way to easily get your monthly fee back plus much more.
So, as a review for That Free Thing, it can be free for those that don't mind being called what they say is a "Freeloader", and if you decide you want to upgrade to That Free Thing membership that costs, I believe it would be safe to say that their offers make it very easy to get a return of many times the price each month that you pay to be a member.
One of the things I do is to try and find offers for people that can't afford to go in debt any further than what the economy has already put them in. And after reviewing That Free Thing, I can safely say that you can be a member and at the minimum have the opportunity to receive offers for at least 5 free things each week without having to pay anything. And if you can't decide whether to become a paid member, I hope the review was somewhat helpful about what some of your thoughts might be in just what a business might mean in saying that everything is free.
