Let’s say you want to market a product you have invented or your neighbor has a unique way of doing something, making widgets for argument sakes. Where to get marketing experience, well you can always check out your local, book store or library and start reading.
If you read enough and understand, enough you always could get a job if someone is willing to hire you. In reality, you do not have that much knowledge in marketing and no real proof that you know anything at all.
Who is going to hire you? I think about no one with any real sense of business perceptive or interviewing skills. They will see through your smoke screen instantly, and you are turned away yet again.
Getting experience in any chosen field can be a difficult thing to do, and if you are retired or about to retire you’re really looking at a hard fight, age just adds to the frustration.
The internet is always an option, what better place to introduce your new widget; there are millions of people on the internet at any given moment. The reach of the internet and the online community is ever increasing; this might be a good fit.
Now it seems like reading a book or going to the library is not your best option for this, so what then.
There can be many avenues to getting this type of education; you can always look towards your local college. Many programs are geared for older workers wanting to re-educate themselves. There is usually the same opportunity for unemployed workers.
That is obviously the most common way or maybe the most popular way, night school maybe, or if you have the time and are able go in the day. I know my local college even has intense training programs on the weekends.
Another option is looking on the internet for online marketing education, I am sure you will find many options there, perhaps to many, but the help is out there. It is going to take time to find a reputable organization that is offering this type of program and then of course are there any requirements you must meet?
Getting the main staple nailed down and get that all-important online marketing education first before you can go anywhere.
In conclusion to where to get marketing experience it is up to you where you get your education, but as I have mentioned I am afraid without the proper credentials you surely will not even be given the chance to get the experience that you are looking for.
Online education will be less expensive than a college program or any training course at a brick and mortar learning facility. The internet knows no age or employment status, it does not care what you are just who you are.
It is the wave of the furture, it does seem to be leading this way more and more every year...enough for everybody...Thanks Joan
Hey Tim very nice article. I followed the link and saw that you are telling people about Wealthy Affiliate University. I just wanted to say that as a member of WAU I can attest to the fact that it is an awesome place to learn marketing. I am making money online and it's because of the education I received at WAU. I already have a steady income from my marketing efforts and I have new efforts paying off. As an example I just made my first sale on a new product I just started to promote $37 and that's just the beginning. I have seen this happen several times now, it starts out with one and the next thing you know it's another and another. See you in WAUs live chat Tim. Take care
Thanks Ty....I have not as yet had the big sales, a few nothing to speak of, but I have done a ton of learning and I have good thoughts on promotiing WA because it is by far one of or the best learning avenues on the net today, glad I have joined, it all takes time...I am sure I will get their soon enough...see ya in chat...
