I wrote a post recently on why affiliate marketing sucks! A friend responded that he just don't get my point! I had decided to break it down in short precise sentences that will better convey my meaning on why affiliate marketing does suck.
At a glance, these are my reasons:
1. It actually earns you money
2. You don't have to invest your money
3. Little operational time required
4. It could be residual in nature
5. No physical structure required
6. No business account keeping
7. You could have lots of businesses
8. Play while at work.
I have being exclaiming that affiliate marketing sucks because it works! It has changed my perception on the way things ought to be done. I had to stop searching for a better job. Change my lifestyle and literally ‘walk with my work’ everyday. All day long as I engage in my hobbies and social interactions, I am modifying my marketing strategies to suit my time and activities. It is simply 'making money on the go'!
Let me further elaborate on the 8 points listed above.
1. You really make money
The main reason why affiliate marketing sucks is that it does make you money. Some people hates affiliate marketing because they can’t seem to get it right while others just love the concept and money it brings to the bank accounts of individuals. It takes every doubting ‘Thomas’ feeling it or seeing real results to stop exclaiming negatively.
For those that have seen results, of course they can shout positively that it sucks big time!
2. You don’t have to invest your money
Most of us in affiliate marketing started off as ‘bum marketers’, learning the ropes of the trade on virtual a ‘free ride’. Tutorials, webinars, eBooks and forum participation were gotten free. Money only needs to be spent in building up the business faster but it is not mandatory to spend money.
3 Little Operational Time Required
Close your eyes and imagine two different scenarios, one doing nine to five or eight to four as the case maybe, and two doing a flexible 'four hours at my leisure'. One scenario not only sucks, it often robs you of your dreams.
4. It could be residual in nature
This sucks as I grew up wanting to build an estate so I cloud earn residual income for me and possibly leave it as an inheritance for my kids. Now I am doing just the opposite! I am now building a virtual income generating system as against building physical structures and businesses. The punch line is it will cost me less than 'one billionth' of the cost of building an estate. This sure sucks!
5. No physical structure required
My friend calls it the real mobile office! All you ever need is a device with which you can access the Internet and you are set and ready to build an online money making empire for yourself.
The Internet, my laptop and I - a great money making combination. This really sucks! Or should I say that's the bomb!
6 No business account keeping
Have you spent time going through the business account books. Well I don't do that! That must really suck! Affiliate marketing 'sucks' out that tedious but essential part of growing your business from you. It gets done! That's right in affiliate marketing, your merchant handles all that and you are only 'stressed' by receiving real-time details of your transactions. You just sit back and watch your bank account grow fat.
7. Multiple streams of businesses
This must really suck! Being a sports analyst, talking home and gardening and selling car gadgets all at the same time! How possible? Well in affiliate marketing, you get to be who you really are and who you want to be. You could be a consultant in web services, expert in yard sells and various other past times, and- that is right! You get paid for doing all those things.
8. Play while at work.
Ever heard of a business that you could play while working or work while playing? That business must surely suck because how the hell are you going to get the job done! In the conventional workplace it is not possible but in affiliate marketing it is! You get to do what you are passionate about or are your hobbies and you get paid doing just that!
These are my reasons why affiliate market does 'sucks'. I believe every doubting 'Thomas' only need to 'touch' some genuine sites or communities and 'see' evidences of why affiliate marketing sucks positively.
That's true Ken, it is a slow steady but surely race. Thanks for commenting
