How to Face a Job Interview - 3 Tips for Nailing the Interview

It can be dreadful not knowing the reason of being rejected for a job after an interview. Most candidates may never get a job without knowing the exact reasons why they were rejected from an interviewer. Learn some of the most basic techniques that will help you get better results at your next interview. In this article we are going to show you some important techniques that most candidates never use.

When you are at an interview some of the most common skills can be related to poor body language, most employers will evaluate a candidate at 55% of what they see, make sure you have appropriate body language when you want to learn how to face a job interview. Below is a list of good body positions and postures that you may use during an interview.

Body language postures: Sit with a straight back Make direct eye contact during conversation Walk with shoulders back Open arms and hands Smiling Firm gripped handshake Look to the right hand side when explaining yourself

Remember that an interview is based on 55% of what an employer can see so you want to make sure to have appropriate body language. Recently while talking to a friend while we were having a conversation with her, I started to cross my arms during our conversation; she immediately acknowledge that she didn’t like my arms folded as it was a sign of closed minded. Unfortunately there is good body language and then there is also bad body language. Below is a list of body language techniques that you should avoid while at an interview.

Body language to avoid: Folded arms Crossing legs Lowered shoulders Dimmed eyes Blinking too much Shaking and fidgeting Poor body posture

It can be nerve wrecking to walk into an interview without a plan but if you learn how to face a job interview with good preparation skills and use the techniques above you will get better results and leave a good impression with the interviewer.

Most people say dress to impress but you can never underestimate it. Appearance can be a good thing at an interview you want to make sure you wear your best dress clothes both men and women can wear a suit. Never smoke before an interview or chew gum. After you finished your interview shake the interviewers hand and thank them for their time. You may also want to send a follow up thank you letter to make you stand out from the crowd just use the techniques above if you want to learn how to face a job interview and get better results instead of being rejected.
