What is the best way to learn how to say French words? There are so many pretty words in French that are fun to say and they sound so beautiful, that is if you get the accent and the inflection correct. Sure, if you are speaking to friends and family that do not know how to say French words either, it is not a problem, but if you really want to be impressive or you want to sound really romantic, it is important to get them right. So, how do you learn how to say French words?

One of the easiest and most convenient ways to learn how to say French words is with online lessons, preferably those that include audio or video examples of each word or phrase. There are some that will give you the very basics for free but for the most thorough lessons, you will have to pay.

Look for online lessons that give you refresher lessons at the end so that you can practice and really get the full effect of the course.

There are dozens of language books that will teach you everything from very simple, common words to more complex phrases and even full conversations. The trick with learning how to say French words from books is to learn the rules of inflection and pronunciation and of course, practice, practice, practice.

Of all of the ways to learn a language, nothing beats learning from another person who speaks it. It is hard to get the words just perfect from a book and even listening to an audio file is not going to give you the same sense of learning as when you are sitting with someone who has a good grasp of it. A native speaker can give you feedback and help you not only learn how to say French words but get their pronunciation correct.

As you learn how to say French words, incorporate them into your everyday speech. You are already saying a number of French words on a daily basis, even if you do not realize it. The more French words that you learn, the better your accent will become.

The language is really quite lyrical and lilting if you pay attention to your tutor and you will find yourself learning more quickly once you get the major words committed to memory. In the beginning, your goal is simply to learn how to say French words, so don’t worry so much about the grammar rules. Who cares if you are mixing your tenses unless you are taking a test in your French class? Get the vocabulary down first and then learn the rest. You might go from just learning a few words to actually speaking French !
