Learning Spanish for Beginners. For anyone wanting to learn a new language their are some criteria that should be matched. This might sound like some strange concept, but in essence there are really two things to be considered.
Learning Spanish for Beginners - Interest
If you have in interest in a language this will take you very far. What I have found is that when you find out more about the language, the people of the country, the history, the culture. The language itself becomes more interesting.
In every culture there are unique things that we can learn and benefit from. Once we start to identify ourselves with all these things and become more and more familiar with the culture. The languae itself becomes more interesting.
Learning a new language with more background knowledge helps a lot. I have also learnt that if one has to learn a language merely for the sake of learning a new language it can be boring and tedious at times.
Learning Spanish for Beginners - Discipline
Learning a new language requires some basic discipline, this even more important if you are not living in the country of the foreign language. From my experience setting aside reqular times to study the language, will help improve your language skill very quickly.
Learning Spanish for Beginners - Something to remember
Learning a language is a process, unfortunately we cannot learn any language overnight. What we can do though is to lay the foundation when we start learning. In my opinion this is where so many people make huge mistakes.
I have seen lots of people who could hardly speak a language properly even after having lived in that country. There are two main reasons: lack of interest and second a lack of a sound foundation. In these cases people memorize what the hear and then speak like parrots, they have no or hardly any knowledge of the grammar.
Not knowing exactly why they are saying what they saying in terms grammar rules they don't have a foundation to build on for later.
Learning Spanish for Beginners – Basic rules that will help you succeed
Start of with the basics, study grammar and whatever little you speak know why it is said, the way it is said. This will give you basic foundation that you can build on.
Keep a litte notepad with and whenever you feel like it jot down a few words in English and the equivalent of those words in Spanish.
Every once in a while go over these words and try to memorize them. Remember don't do to much at a time, but rather a little bit everyday and this will take you very far.
