Light Your Room With the Beauty Of Candle Wall Sconces

These days, there is a lot to be said for the refinement and simplicity of modern wall light fixtures. You can easily choose a look and feel that complements your room and home and makes your rooms look modern and refined. But what about other ways to light your rooms and your halls? If you're looking for a beautiful, traditional way to bring a soft glow of light to your space, why not consider candle wall sconces?

First off, let's look at the two main types of candle wall sconces. The traditional, popular option for occasional wall lighting or an accent pieces are the hand-lit candle wall sconces. These classic designs are as much art as they are lighting fixture are the traditional glass or iron candle wall sconces, and may use several real, hand-lit candles. These types of candle wall sconces tend to be fairly inexpensive, often under $100. They are a fantastic option for any space, but particularly ones where a wired wall light fixture would not work as well.

The second option for candle wall sconces are the more modern plug-in candle wall sconces. While these home light fixtures don't actually use real candles, they do imitate the look and feel of hand-lit candle wall sconces with their classic hurricane candle wall sconce or glass candle wall sconce look. One advantage of these slightly more expensive types of candle wall sconces is that they don't burn down or need to be lit and extinguished, providing significant safety, cost, and convenience advantages.

If you're looking to install modern, plug-in candle wall sconces, you'll want to consider is your room or hallway's style, and how much light you want to bring to the room. Does your room have a modern look and feel? If so, you'll probably want to consider the single, hurricane candle wall sconce style with iron fixtures. These wall sconces usually have cream-colored shades, and look like a traditional candle when lit, providing soft, diffuse light for your room. These types are especially great for updated hallways that need more light.

On the other hand, if your space is more elaborate and you're looking for elegance and charm, you'll probably be more interested in crystal candle wall sconces. These opulent pieces, often seen in formal dining rooms, hallways, and foyers make for an impressive way to light your space while understating your fine taste in home decor. And, despite their expensive look and feel, you need not spend a fortune to add crystal candle wall sconces to your walls, as many are modestly priced.

Candle wall sconces, unlike some other types of light fixtures, have the unique ability to add as much to the room during the day as they do at night. To that extent, when selecting candle wall sconces, consider both how they will look on the wall as a part of the room during the day, but also realize how much (or little) light they will bring to the room after dark to ensure a truly perfect fit for your home. An in-store or home designer consultation to help imagine your space both at day and at night may be helpful to bring your true lighting vision to life.

Where can you find candle wall sconces? Home Depot, Lowes, and other hardware stores usually have a few to look at, but many people will go to home lighting stores and showrooms to find the perfect candle wall sconce. However, an increasingly popular option is the number of online 'showrooms' and lighting galleries that feature candle wall sconces to browse through from the comfort of your home. One additional benefit of browsing online is that you can more easily envision how your rooms and spaces will look when your new candle wall sconces have been installed.

Whether you're looking for glass candle wall sconces, iron wall sconces, or crystal wall sconces, it's worth realizing that there is no "perfect" way to light your walls - the best lighting design is the one that makes both you and your guests enjoy your space even more.
