Who's on my list? What is my list for? Do I need a list? Serious questions with important answers. Let's start with who's on my list. Whether you're using Ezine lists or Ebooks to get the word out you will still need a list. The list is both inventory and a virtual map helping navigate your next marketing move. Many top marketers i've been in consultation with swear by lists, newsletters and the like.
Actually your top marketers hardly use ppc or adsense figuring that they want to keep as much revenue in their pockets as possible. Ask other marketers who are doing well but using adsense and adword campaigns and they will either come clean or you will discover that nearly half of their income is being given to Google or Yahoo.
Nothing is better than once being taught how to fish and then fishing on your own and making great catches. Look at list building the same. List building forces online marketers and affiliates be proactive and not complacent with using whatever 'tools' that the billion dollar search engines i.e yahoo, google and bing are trying to sell you. The very first thing you should be doing is building your list. This makes your business very personal to you. Whatever your niche is or has been selected, a list is the first step you'll want to make. Many marketers either ignore this or are simply not aware of this tactic. The 'who's on my list' should consist of only those who are already involved with the product, familiar or are enthusiasts.
Encourage all on this list to support your ideas, buy and promote your product 'with' and not 'for' you. The marketer must make everyone feel like they are in this together every step of the way. Even those who are selling the same product must never feel like you're the competition. Anytime you're promoting you want to make each and every campaign a 'we' and not a 'me' campaign. What is my list for? If not for reciprocating dollars and conversions then what on earth for? The list has to have majority active members if not then dump it and engineer a list of nothing but highly active members who are just as aggressive and are gaing similar if not better results. Conversions mean everything because they equal sales which of course equals revenue. The list will turn into an automatic conversion machine. Imagine having a list of two thousand marketers, who are all sharing links, information and are cross promoting eachother. There is no way you can lose. No way. With the power of autoresponders and all other tools available; with everyone on the list using the same tools to help get the product out there it will become a dream come true.
