Breaking up with your partner can hurt so much that it literally makes you ill and what you really need at this point in time is some best advice for the broken hearted to help you get through this awful time in your life.

With the proviso that you listen to what you are told and evaluate the information carefully and then take action on it, you will find that best advice for the broken hearted can in fact help you heal and get over the intense feeling of loss on the breakup of your relationship.

Healing after the breakup with your partner doesn't happen overnight and can if fact take quite a while. The sadness and desperation that you feel after a break up is not like anything else that you will encounter.

Bearing in mind the points mentioned so far, it really isn't a good idea to rush into a new relationship as these 'rebound relationships' as they are so called, very rarely work and in fact can just add to the pain that you are currently trying to deal with.

So the best thing to do first of all, is to allow yourself time and not to rush into another relationship. Give yourself time and space to heal and take things slowly until you start to feel better.

If you really feel the need to date then take things slowly and don't allow yourself to get too serious with your new date too soon.

Talk things over - Sit down with a good and trusted friend and discuss with them what happened and why you think everything went sour. Listen to what advice they offer you to help heal your broken heart as people who are outside of the situation can sometimes have a better insight to what was going on. You as an injured party may well have been to close to see things clearly.

If you come to the conclusion that there is a chance of getting back together with your ex partner, then what ever you do, don't rush back to your ex immediately.

Give your ex partner some time to come to terms with what has happened as well. Allow them the space that they need just as you need space and time to think.

Then if and when you do start to see them again, begin by just being friends with them and then allow things to develop slowly. If it's meant to be that you will be reunited with your ex then that is good, but if you see signs that things will not work out, then be prepared to move on.

As you will have gathered, the best advice for the broken hearted is really to allow plenty of time for healing and as this happens, you will then be able to pick up and move on with your life.
