How To Love Yourself

From spending so much time studying relationships for many years, I’ve come to realize that most of the issues arise from the person not feeling loved. Even hearing: "If you loved me you would do ...(this)". Another way of looking at it is your confidence, self esteem, self worth, and being able to love yourself. If someone was to ask you now “Do you love yourself?” your immediate answer should be yes. This is because if you don’t love yourself, it makes it hard for anyone else to love you.

I have learned a lot about how to love yourself through my journey to find my soulmate. I learned that it’s the most important thing you can do right here, right now to increase attraction of them to you. Most conflicts in relationships happen because of feeling hurt when the other person didn't do what you wanted or expected. But if you loved yourself fully, you would just be able to talk to them openly and honestly about your problem and know they will still love you. This is because you are communicating with them about these issues in order to learn, grow and understand yourself more.

Most of knowing how to love yourself comes through repetitive positive affirmations to yourself. This is also known as the daily thoughts you repeat in your head every day. If you’re not aware of how negative you might be towards yourself in your thoughts every day, then it’s time you started paying attention.

When you think negative thoughts like I’m not good enough, I’m not attractive enough, I don’t deserve it or I’ll never find true love, then through the law of attraction, that’s what you will keep attracting to you.

A great way to start even changing those thoughts to more positive ones is to write up small pieces of paper with positive affirmations on them and stick them around your house.

Use words in the present tense too so you know they are true now, not in the future sometime. This can include:

  • I am a great person
  • I am beautiful
  • I am smart
  • I am loved
  • I am confident

These are just some simple examples as you can make them a bit longer and more specific if you like. But putting the words “I am” in front of these words you use, make them more powerful. It helps your mind to see that you already are, which you probably are, you just doubt yourself or take someone else’s word for it.

Now that you know how easy it can be to know how to love yourself, I suggest you start practicing right now. Because being able to love yourself contributes to a happy and successful life in every area:

  • Relationships/family
  • Health
  • Career
  • Finances
  • Spirituality/Religion
  • Social/Recreation.

Imagine how much more confidence you can gain from loving, respecting and nurturing yourself? It really is the key to a happy life.
