Perhaps there is a fun evening of movies in your future. You are planning lasagna, followed by a comedy marathon. Your friends are looking forward to it. The lineup for the evening includes "Men in Black", "Marmaduke", "Ghostbusters", and "Revenge of the Nerds". You have called your friends, cleaned the house, and picked up the movies. The evening will be a great way for everyone to relax and recharge. Everything is ready. You fix dinner for yourself and then settle in for the evening.
While savoring a cup of hot cocoa and watching "The Big Bang Theory", however, you suddenly panic. You remember that one of your friends who is coming to the party is a vegetarian. Oh, no! What will you do? You suddenly have visions of your fun evening going horribly wrong and your vegetarian friend sitting with you, enjoying the evening, but eating nothing. He would be nice and polite, and laugh with you while you watched movies together. You know that he would be hungry, however. He would be sitting there with you, and his stomach would be growling. You do not want any of your friends to go hungry.
It is much easier to fix a meal for a group of people when there are no food allergies or dietary restrictions to worry about. Many people, however, have friends or family who cannot eat certain foods. These individuals live very healthy lives, and they are just like most people. They work or go to school, relax, work out, watch television, and enjoy the Internet. When they go somewhere where a food is being served that they cannot eat, they simply eat something else. Their host might fix them a peanut butter sandwich, for example, or perhaps a bowl of tomato soup with a salad on the side.
One idea for your special night might be to make spinach lasagna. This is a very tasty meal that contains spinach, a variety of cheeses, and no meat. It is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Check online for recipes.
A much simpler idea, however, and one that goes great with movies, is to order a pizza. Pizza places will make pizzas with a variety of vegetarian combinations, such as mushroom and onion, bell pepper, and black olive. Simply call your local pizza place, order your pizza, and it should be delivered within the hour. Then, kick back and enjoy your evening.
