If you have ever had a team building in Singapore, then you would know that it is mostly geared towards larger groups. There are some training firms that specialise in cultivating an effective team so keep a list handy in case you need one.
Establishing an efficient and communicative team early on is essential. However, if you weren’t able to establish this early on then it is not too late. Smaller teams often mean bigger budgets when it comes to team building activities. Here are some of the activities you can do with your team.
1. Theme Park Adventure
The setting of your activity can influence your team in more ways than one. In a very casual setting, colleagues are more likely to feel comfortable in each other’s company. They will be able interact with one another and they will be able to communicate better in this type of team building. Singapore has a lot of theme parks that you can use as a backdrop of your team building activity. Include a list of things they have to accomplish during the day that they have to do together in order to accomplish.
2. Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger hunts are great fun because the whole team gets to cooperate with one another. Split the team in two or three small groups and have them accomplish a list of things to do. It will inspire them to work with one another to solve a common problem. Make them accomplish tasks one by one in order to show the team’s strengths and weaknesses. The team that accomplishes all the tasks will be the winner. Have a discussion afterwards on the things that they learned during the activity. Do try to make the scavenger hunt outdoors to take away the formality of an office setting.
3. Board Game Activities
Board games are already enjoying a renaissance now. These games are also an excellent way to strengthen your team. Get board games for groups. It may not be a traditional team building program but it does work. An hour of game play would be a fun way for your employees to interact with one another in a competitive yet friendly environment.
