50 Effective Marketing Tips Exposed Part 2

Previously I wrote about 50 effective marketing tips exposed part 1 and I hope that you find the article useful. As for the second part of the 5 series trilogy, I would like to share with you the next 10 effective marketing tips.

11. Launch a Competition or a Lucky Draw.

This could be the easiest way for you to gain the “data base” information of your customers and for you to use those information in your future promotion and marketing. Use the available system such as short messages (sms), blog, website, facebook or in a news paper publication announcing your campaign.

12. Out of This World Customer Service.

Keep this in mind, there is nothing more powerful than positive feedback from your customers. An out of this world customer service is a powerful tool and can give you an advantage from your competitors. Do think that if you are a small business you don’t need to smile at your customers, answer the call before the third ring, treat your customers with great attention and calm. If you can’t do this simple things when your business is small, there is no way that you will grow big one day.

13. Give Out Discounts and Free Vouchers.

This is also one of the easiest and cheap way for customer loyalty. For example, if you have a car was service, give them a free wash after every 6 wash. This does not only gain their loyalty but will give the sense that you appreciate them.

14. Create A Relevant Theme.

This is usually deployed in shopping complex. Create a decor which is relevant to the theme and dress up for it. It could be Valentines theme, Halloween theme, Mothers Day theme or what ever relevant to the month. You could also use a theme from the movies which is hot in the box office such as Harry Potter, Twilight or James Bond. The very least that it could do is get the attention from the kids which will pull their parents to your store. While they are there, give them simple goodies or candy related to the theme. When you make your potential customer happy, there is a high chance that they will start buying from you.

15. Share.

What you know about your business could be valuable to others. But not your trait secrets but information that would benefit your customers. For example, if you are in a swimming pool provider, write the do’s and don’ts when looking for a swimming pool or a comparison on the different types of swimming pool. Hand this out for free. Write a blog, update your website or share in your Facebook of what you know best about your business.

Don’t worry about people copying you, you have the knowledge and unique experience, other people might not know what you know.

16. Always Smile and Enthusiastic.

Yes, this is important because customers love dealing with people who exudes positive energy. Make sure that you could make your customer smile and exited after your dealings. The would share this great experience with who they know. Nothing spreads better than word of mouth.

17. Email.

Send an email to your valued customers and provide guidance and tips or even you latest offering, services and products. Keeping in touch with your customers is important but do it excessively because you might annoy them.

18. Write and Share Your Profile or Your Story.

Your customers would like to know you and who is behind this great business. Share your failure and how you rise up to the challenge and bring your company to what it is now. Your story can inspire and improve your self. Don’t have the thought of demeaning your self. You are great the way you are. I would like to share this tweet from Mark Cuban:

19. Support a Charity.

Write in your business card that you support a charity of your choice. And provide an avenue for your customers to donate for your cause. People love and respect who loves to give.

20. Enhance Your Image, Business or Store.

People loves dealing with people or business that looks new, fresh, current and happy.
